Asahi feels so close to hitting the perfect mark, but unfortunately it falls short of the hopes I had when I saw it open up. I ordered the asahi poke bowl off their website and took it home, however there was no sauce like in the description. Just raw, loose fish/veggies with no flavor. The pineapple also tasted off to me, like it had been refrigerated for too long. For $15, I would expect a larger portion of more high quality ingredients, made correctly. It was a surprising oversight, because the front staff I interacted with were quite kind and accommodating.

A small intimate space. Two hibachi tables. Very clean. The miso has a very different taste, we liked it. The hibachi is flat in flavor. The sushi could be a bit fresher. The poke bowl has a good flavor but light in the protein.

Absolutely THE best sushi in Morgantown. Fast service and fast to serve too- everyone there is so nice. Their hibachi gives great portions for the meat and their sushi always tastes fantastic. There’s such a wide range of rolls- but the Suncrest roll and Volcano roll are the best. They’ve made us a frequent customer- we can’t get enough!!

This place was delicious. 2 adults and 2 kids. We ordered several things and it was all delicious and fresh. Sushi is 5 stars on its own. I have to go back to order lots of other stuff that I really want to try. They have Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and lots of other Asian dishes. They also have authentic Ramen that I cannot wait to try! Our waiter was great as well. Coming back soon!

I might need to try this place at dinner time. I went in for their lunch special, 2 regular rolls or 11.95. I had the spicy tuna and spicy salmon. They weren’t very flavorful at all and the rice was not tightly packed, so they kept on falling apart. The lunch special comes with soup or salad, I wish I have gotten the soup. The salad was very heavy on the dressing so you couldn’t really taste anything and it didn’t have enough of the ginger flavor. I did order Unagi 2pc sushi with it and that was delicious.
