Pit stopped for breakfast on family vacation. Family owned and operated with friendly and punctual staff. A fair price, and fresh food made this diner shine despite a less then polished building, the welcoming clientele and delicious breakfast made it a winner of a roadside meal.

Their food is amazingly great. When placing an order for takeout the time frame is always on the money when picking up your order and it is fresh and hot. The staff is amazing, friendly and always wanting to make sure that you are taken care of. If you have not been to Ashley’s diner on William Street in Goldsboro North Carolina. Wow, found a gem in Goldsboro driving thru! What a delicious surprise! Local eatry off the beaten hwy path but worth the drive. It was jam-packed with locals for breakfast (on Saturdays open 6am-11am not sure of weekly hours). Coffee was outstanding. Recommendations given were the Cheeseburger Omelet and Loaded hashbrowns. It tasted awesome! The bacon was crispy, the grits was just right without having to add anything to them. Tea was on southernpoint! The establishment is family run and espouses southern hospitality to make you feel at home. Can’t wait to go back for lunch soon!
