We ordered over 40$ worth of food for the 2 of us, we order from here often. We called the store back approximately 10 minutes after picking up our order to inform then they had forgot one of our appetizers. the young man insisted 3-4 times that it was in the bag… we said maybe they put it in another bag bc there was many orders out but it was not in ours. We were simply asking if we could come pick it up, not even a refund. The young men then proceeded to say to my boyfriend that “well some guys just like to steal sooo”. My boyfriend explained we were not stealing a 7$ chicken on a stick… he simply wanted it for dinner lol. The man again implied that we were lying and it was in the bag. At this point we said nevermind and asked for a refund bc i would rather not eat at an establishment that is so poorly ran. I’ve worked in restaurants forever im very understanding… this was unacceptable.

I’ve had a lot of Chinese in my life varying in quality, but this was such a huge disappointment! The rice tasted strange. A little card boardy… I can’t describe it, but soy sauce didn’t help and I couldn’t eat it. The general tsos chicken I didn’t expect to be spectacular but it was really lacking in taste. It was very bland and needed some extra zing. Not worth the money by a long shot.

I’m throughly disappointed with today’s hibachi dinner plate! I typically LOVE this restaurant because they usually give a good about of steak as well as this sort of “ teriyaki “ like sauce on the rice. Today was 12 pieces of steak and no sauce 🙁

Asian Taste has to be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Effing ham county especially because they offer Hibachi! I am constantly having the battle between Chinese food or Japanese food but now I can go and make the decision all in one place. Although this inst a Japanese restaurant it offers many of the great hibachi choices that are offered, from Teriyaki shrimp bowls to the same express plates with shrimp and beef with vegetables. Definitely excited to have Asian taste in the area especially being so close to job. This will make my lunch breaks easier to decide where to eat!

Best Chinese food in Effingham county! Don’t let the bad reviews of this place scare you away. I have been going to this restaurant for 2 years, basically since they opened and I’ve never had a bad experience. The family that runs this place is super friendly and they are quick with orders. Not every place is perfect but they are one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to. The tarp is for safety of their staff during this pandemic. I don’t understand why people are making a big deal about the tarp, it’s a cheaper version of a hard plastic shield, to put up a large plastic shield is very expensive, and it does not make it hard to order like others have commented. Also as far as getting an order wrong, sure it happens no matter where you go, it’s called check your food before you leave so the problem can be resolved immediately. Their rice has more flavor than any other Chinese restaurant I’ve been to within Savannah area. I used to go to happy wok but their customer service was poor and their food isn’t as good. Asian taste’s food is always fresh. The rice is made in a rice cooker and kept in it until they prepare your order, for those who say it’s old is not true. Every Chinese or Japanese restaurant you go to do this exact same thing. Everything else is cooked to order right in front of you.

Didn’t read the reviews until after we ordered. Upon arrival you are greeted with a dirty restaurant that makes one assume they only clean once at the end of the day. The entire counter from floor to ceiling is covered in clear tarp which makes it extremely hard for ordering to take place. However we were willing to overlook these things. I made a joke about getting all the way home to North Guyton and having something missing from the order. Our boxes were actually stapled shut so we couldn’t quickly check them at the restaurant (red flag). We got home and noticed our steak and shrimp was just shrimp. I looked at the receipt and the order was correct, they simply left it off as other visitors have also experienced. The rice was that instant stuff that clumps together and has no flavor and the egg-roll was dripping grease. It’s unfortunate because the restaurant is not very old and I don’t know how well they are going to do if they keep it up at this rate. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere.
