While the menu is not extensive, the food is outstanding. The menu changes, and everything is delicious. I rarely order pasta at restaurants, but do here because the flavors they blend it with are amazing. Two members of our party ordered the steak and said it was one of the best they had eaten at a restaurant. The desserts are perfection.

A gem of a place. Aster & Rose was recommended to us and we’re so glad we tried it out. A cozy restaurant with great service and food. The menu is small but has a nice variety of dishes. Our food was excellent! Cocktails great. We moved to the small bar (which has a fireplace) to have dessert and a nightcap. Definitely worth a visit for dinner. We’ll be back.

You have to go If you haven’t been to Maine Aster & Rose is the reason to! Mary is the best server we have ever experienced – and I do mean she was an integral part of a wonderful dining experience! The food is impeccably prepared and presented. Our tastebuds are so happy! Be sure to enjoy all you can including the perfect cocktails. Incredible find!

Delicious meal with friendly and attentive service from Neil. My friend and I both had the Caesar salad, scallops and shared the chocolate custard for dessert. Enjoyed it all. Loved sitting near the fireplace in the cozy bar area.

We had an amazing experience at Aster & Rose! The service and drinks were fabulous (thanks Mary!), and the food was absolutely delicious! We had the crisp greens salad, homemade baked focaccia, and two mouthwatering fresh pasta dishes (seafood and bolognese). We are so happy and grateful the new owners Michael and Carrie passionately serve the local community with this wonderful and timeliness property. A must all year-round destination for food and stay!

We are so happy that we found this restaurant. It’s just 10 minutes away from Camden, but feels like it’s on another planet (in a very good way). Away from the crowds of tourists and overpriced, unremarkable restaurants on the waterfront. Aster and Rose is part of a beautiful old Inn, in an idyllic country setting, but nothing about the ambiance or the food is dated. The space has been tastefully and stylishly updated, yet feels seamlessly in step with the setting. The menu is small and thoughtful, and the chef makes excellent use of local ingredients without have that “precious” feel of some farm to table places. The service was warm, attentive, and comfortable. I really can’t say enough good things about this place. Best dining experience on this trip to mid-coastal ME. We will be back for sure.
