We have been getting Atami’s for ages. Their location change (from a storefront to a food truck just down the road) has not affected their hospitality or their quality. It’s by far the best place to get quick hibachi. Good price, great taste, big portions. Do yourself a favor when you’re in town and get yourself some Atami’s for dinner.

This location was closed for a few months due to the owner being in poor health. When they finally reopened they have a complete new staff who apparently don’t know the old recipes or are unable to follow them correctly. When my sister and I arrived Saturday June 9th we were not greeted by the cashier. It took longer than normal for our food to arrive to our table. My sister requested her steak to be cooked “well done” however upon receiving our food both of our chicken/steak were extremely overcooked. The rice did not taste the same. The only thing that was right was the carrots. Portion size is way smaller than average. The steak/chicken were chopped to mini pieces and the carrots were smaller than normal. The Yum Yum sauce was watered down. The experience was overall not pleasant. We were both disappointed to see how much the food has changed after waiting months to eat at this establishment again. Unless the original staff returns we will not be eating here any longer.

Atami has done a great job of maintaining excellent food and service despite moving to a food truck. It’s the best short order hibachi around with a very friendly staff. Call ahead works perfectly every time as well.
