Mediocre at best. I had the Gyro…it was $14.99. I know, inflation and all, but there were literally 3 thin strips of Gyro meat on the sandwich (see photo). This was NOT a fifteen dollar sandwich. The service was fine, this just isn’t a good value at all.

Oh you want to go to a restaurant in Mooresville NC that services breakfast all day, has a vast menu to cater to many people’s tastes, has slow service, and watch people get irritated for getting their order wrong several times then come to Athena’s Cafe. I was in the area and decided to try this restaurant. I ordered the pork gryo and it was bland. I assume it was bland was due to catering to many people who may not have good Greek food. Will I try this restaurant again, most likely not as Mooresville NC has many restaurants to choose from. The waitress who servered me felt like she did not want to be at the restaurant as she talked very fast and barely understood her and at few times I thought she was talking Greek to me. I ended up pointing on the menu to what I want to eat. The restaurant was not packed so I don’t understand why the service was slow to refill my drink and when it was refilled, it was with warm tea so my iced tea was warm tea.

We’ve been twice. Once for breakfast, once for lunch with our 3yo. Both times the food was excellent, as was the service. The menu is pretty large with lots of options and they do offer breakfast all day.

I called the store before leaving a review on all the public platforms I can, and I’m not done leaving my reviews. The manager was extremely rude, tried to talk over me when I was politely telling him how every single part of my order was done incorrectly. Told him that I’m now at work and there’s nothing that could be done and I like to be refunded and he would not do that. And the worst part is he was just extremely rude and didn’t care. They literally stole my lunch money today and I have no food for my workday. It is also completely disgusting and I’m not even sure if it’s legal they just dump the hummus in the Styrofoam. The Styrofoam could’ve been on the floor peoples hands touch it. This is not sanitary and I’m not sure if this is even legal but it is absolutely disgusting. They use extremely cheap cups, and the cup snapped in half carrying it into work. They charge three dollars for a small tea but they use the cheapest carpet can’t hold a drink. They didn’t even give me my drink. I had to go back and get it. My salad was made wrong, and I also received the wrong dressing, I received absolutely no utensils when I put a message please and thank you I need utensils. The list could go on. The worst part is my roommate told me not to order from here and I did anyway. They’re ruining the reputation and the manager literally did not care.

This little diner is a gem. Excellent food and the wait staff are all awesome. They cook and have your food ready with haste. And amazing isn’t the appropriate word for the food. From American classics to some creations of the mind you can’t go wrong. I order the Ruben everytime and it’s the best I’ve had in years. 10 out of 10. Always recommend .

Found this place while searching for a spot to eat. The service was amazing and friendly and the food!! Amazing! Tasted just like a home cooked meal. The place feels super cozy and has a great ambiance. Absolutely recommend coming here.

Please be careful when eating their salads. This was my first time trying them out. The restaurant was not busy at all at the time of day I went. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and Caesar salad around 530pm. I didn’t really care for the dressing but I didn’t think anything of it. By 830pm I had developed food poisoning and was in the bathroom from both ends until about 230am when I finally decided to go to the ER for fluids. It was horrible!! I will not be returning!
