We arrived at the charming General Store in Augusta, KY for breakfast. The country-style morning meal was both comforting and delicious, served with exceptional hospitality. As we enjoyed our meal, we couldn’t help but be captivated by the intriguing merchandise and historical displays that enveloped us, adding to the overall delightful experience.

Historic building in in a beautiful old River town! You will love the decor, the ice cream counter, all the yummy homemade food! Very well priced! You could dine inside or outside on the patio or go down to the river and sit on the bank and watched River traffic. There is a ferry here and it makes for an unique day trip

We had the best dinner. Turkey & Dressing with mashed potatoes and white gravy & apples, dinner rolls, and a peace of coconut cream pie and it was delicious. Great atmosphere and service. We will be back very soon.

I drove 35 mins to visit Augusta and stopped in here to have a burger. The burger was so good I returned Friday for another one and also bringing my wife along. She had the catfish which was also really tasty.

Very interesting, charming place. Reminds me of an old general store, hence the name. But that’s where the positive ends. My quest to find somebody that knows how to make scrambled eggs continues. There was something wrong with the goetta. The service was surly, bordering on rudeness. Could be a find with a new cook and different staff.

Great destination to eat while wrapping up a relaxing day trip/drive from Cincinnati or surrounding areas. Quaint local eatery THAT IS NO SMOKING which is a huge plus ! Other local eateries are SMOKING ALLOWED which is a big negative for non-smokers. Besides non-smoking they offer a hotplate meal with friendly service with a small/intimate dinning experience. Not too mention they have some interesting antiques to purchase if interested.

Polite waitress. Most food made from scratch. Incredible desserts. Also right around the corner is the Rosemary Clooney’s house where she lived. It is now a museum that has Rosemary’s memorabilia from all her movies. If you like the movie White Christmas then you’ll love this place. It is well worth the $5 dollars entry fee.
