Very nice restaurant with an amazing outside waiting area and seating area. Seems to be geared towards events. Inside is fairly standard, with low and high tables and booths. Food is awesome. They have the blooming onion! Drinks are even more awesome! Try the Sylacauga Slammer!

The food I ordered was great. I ordered the Russell platter…smoked turkey, baby back ribs, and brisket. The smoked turkey was awesome…moist and flavourful. My sides were the potato salad and Mac and cheese. The potato salad was more like mashed potatoes with the trimmings. Now the Mac and cheese was just perfect. Not to wet and not to dry. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. It was Thursday night, bike night with live music…. nice.

My first time at August’s after having it recommended by several people to me. I went with the ribs and they were very good. The sauce is on the side so you can decide how much you want. The service was friendly with everyone being helpful. It’s a very laid back place to grab a meal and a few drinks while you watch the game.

Amazing BBQ, ive yet to be disappointed anytime ive eaten here. Smoked Turkey was just perfect, very juicy and not over done smoke. The white BBQ sauce is perfect compliment to the turkey. Wish they had a few other options for sides, like bakes sweet potatoe or fresh vegetables. But overall its a very very good BBQ. Ill be back!! Oh and brisket is only available on Thursday and Friday.

If you ever find yourself in Sylacauga, AL, you need to make any excuse you can to stop and eat some BBQ. Some of the best ribs I’ve ever had outside of Kansas City. Great portions, you can tell they’re making their own sides, and a solid value for the price. I got a 3-rib spare rib plate. That’s THREE ribs! Well done!

What a pleasant surprise off the hwy. The owner put the smoker right next to the highway which is extremely effective marketing. When we came back the same way we already knew we where going to stop here. Kelcey our waitress recommended the turkey. She let us taste a slice and wow! Also ordered ribs and the meat was falling off the bone. The sauce was excellent too! I trusted Kelcey and asked her what was the best side. She said Mac n cheese and it was the best in the south! Everyone at our table was talking about it. If I had to complain about something the servings are too small! No to-go boxes needed at this BBQ place. Also I wouldn’t recommend sharing. You will end up fighting for food!
