My wife and I tried this establishment last night after a recommendation from a friend. We went in, ordered our platters(4) and hurried home to watch the game and enjoy the soul food. Aesthetically, it looked really good. My wife tried her sweet potatoes, they were crunchy(?), The fried chicken was pink on the inside, the strawberry/pineapple cornbread was HORRIBLE and tasted like flour. I paid for extra cabbage, NOT IN THE ORDER. I paid $60 bucks for WHAT? We try to give our people a play, but we will NEVER eat there again… We will go where we know the food will be cooked fully and plates will be plentiful. CORINNE’S in Camden is definitely the go-to from now on!

I really enjoyed the food and service. Drive thru was a little long of a wait but the associates were kind and it was worth it. We got ribs, pork chops, greens, Mac and cheese, seafood salad, sweet potato pie and Soul rolls.

Clean atmosphere. This is a family place. They played great music. There is a welcoming greeting as soon as you hit the door. the cashier was friendly and made sure she got the order correct. This felt like a place that you can bring your children and the whole family. Great tasting food and generous with the portions.!!we will be back.

We heard they were good by a friend so we wanted to try them and BABY! they didn’t disappoint. We both had the salmon cakes I had Mac and cheese with sweet potatoes, his sides were mashed potatoes, and greens .. my son had the fried fish, Mac and sweet potatoes delicious everything was really good !

The food was not warm, and it was not tasty. I ordered. I think it was called mix and match where I got 2 pieces of fish and two pieces of chicken. The fish was ok but not hot. They gave me some wings, but they were undercooked and over salted. I also ordered okra, tomatoes, and corn, which tasted like they took corn from a can. Some plain cooked okra and sliced tomatoes from a can and put them in a little container with some sugar and mixed it all together. Needless to say, it was not good at all it had no taste for a traditional southern dish.

So, we finally made it to Aunt Berta’s and was very much quite pleased. My husband ordered the Turkey wings, collard greens and okra,tomatoes and corn. I ordered the fried chicken wings, mashed potatoes and gravy and collard greens. We also ordered Peach Cobbler a slice of coconut cake. Our drink was the homemade Churches Punch. I kid you not by reeling you that “EVERYTHING WE ORDERED WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION. Not only that; we had plenty for more than one meal for us. I have no problem with supporting this restaurant over and over again. We did eat inside and although it’s on the small side we both enjoyed our meal time and we didn’t have to cook it ourselves. The price was good for the amount of food we were given. This will be our Sunday go to restaurant when eating out.

I ordered a chicken and fish dinner that was supposed to come with two sides. I only got one. Called to tell them about their mistake after ten minutes later. They answered the phone. I was told I can pick up my side order. Dupont highway at rush hour. Gave a nice tip before hand. The food is not worth the trip.
