This restaurant is next to the Citgo gas station. It just opened in November of 2022. This is truly a hole in the wall restaurant. It is not a “fresh by order” menu. All of the food is out in display and you pick out your protein, with 2 sides, and you can choose corn bread or a biscuit, and a drink. I’m not sure the cost of a plate, because there was no pricing on the white board.

Went for the Saturday BBQ. Ribs were tasty and a generous portion. Brisket melted in your mouth. Veggies and potato salad were top notch. Mr. Harris makes sure you’re all set and happy. Decor is cute. Atmosphere is warm and friendly. We were too full to get the homemade cakes but several people came in just for that while we were there. Don’t miss this meat + 2 includes a drink. Super good!!!

I was pleasantly surprised how much it tastes like a home cooked meal. I ate in and ordered food to go. My daughter loved the fish and oxtail. I recommend anyone who likes soul food to give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

The staff are not in uniform and takes no pride in showing customers they appreciate your business. The owner is an older lady who is very nasty and has the worst attitude. They don’t greet when you walk in and just stand there looking as if you have to support their business. The owner is ALWAYS not smiling or happy to welcome her customers. She only worry about ringing you up and sending you on your way. There is one sweet little lady that works alongside the owner and she is ALWAYS pleasant and friendly. The food is great BUT the level of professionalism is much more important to me in any business.

Excellent food. Quick, friendly service. I had the baked lemon pepper chicken; my wife had the swai. I don’t have enough words to explain how delicious everything tasted. Check the hours, and GO next time they’re open. Consider them for your next party – everyone will leave satisfied.

I was so excited to be able to eat at this place that I’ve heard wonderful reviews about. I was so incredibly disappointed when I got home. I ordered fish cabbage and butter beans with a biscuit the only thing that was good was the biscuit. The catfish was so salty I had to scrape off the breading and try and find some fish that wasn’t quite so salty. Butter beans and cabbage had no seasoning. I am extremely disappointed. $25, wasted

I got the potato salad, Mac and cheese and pork chop. Over all I’ll give it a 3 out of 5. The Mac and cheese was not good. The noodles were over cooked and really soft. The flavor just wasn’t there. The corn bread was soooo dry and was also a no for me.
