This restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. We were the only customer for lunch in the 11:15 to 12:00 time frame on a Saturday, but I imagine it does good business during the workweek lunchtime. I am not a big fan of Vietnamese but the options were vast and I particularly liked the steamed steak rice plate with hoisin sauce added. The Vietnamese tea and fresh lemonade were also both fantastic.

What a fantastic date night we had, we were recommended Ava by several close friends as we wanted to try a new local restaurant for our Date night.. the recondations did not disappoint at all.. we had the sigon rolls and grilled chicken vermicelli bowl, both were amazing in size and in flavor. A must visit if you are in Baton Rouge and want Vietnamese food

The food was great!!! I had the Pho noodles, potstickers dumplings, and crab salad with a strawberry lemonade. Everything was delicious!!!! Customer service was great and the price was affordable. The ambiance is no were near fine dining but the food will make you forget about where you are at. I will definitely go back.

This is absolutely my most favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge! I eat here at least twice a week. The spring rolls are amazing! Buns are fantastic. They also have a bar. They make great signature cocktails!

if you love authenticity, do not come here. cafe sua da was bad. kimchi fries were nasty and of very small portion size. the server gave us our drinks without ice, didn’t bother to explain why our sweet tea or water had no ice. we had to ask, and then after, she explained that the ice machine was down. however, she came out with a cup of ice after we questioned it, so idk what was up with that. then when we asked for our checks, she came and plopped it in the middle of the table instead of giving it to us individually. how lazy and distasteful. poor service, poor food, and the wait was long despite there being only 2 tables.

Solid 4.5 … Would have been a 5.0, but my wife had the Chargrilled Short Ribs Vermicelli Bowl and the meat had an exceptional amount of fat and grizzle. This made her meal less enjoyable. I was looking for vegan options and I was pleased with what they offered. The Lemongrass Tofu Bao Buns and the 225 Vegan Bowl Vermicelli were delicious!

Delicious fresh food with generous portion sizes. The vermicelli bowl with shrimp, pork, and spring roll is great deal. The pho was delicious and hearty. The staff members are friendly and helpful. Food is a bit pricey for the location.

Grilled pork Kim chi French fries. Everything about that dish just works together. The Kim chi is crunchy and not overwhelming on the dish. The fries are crispy. The grilled pork has a hint of sweetness. The sauces are nice and creamy and mellow the dish, and the green onions add a nice flavor to the dish. I wish it was twice the size. I’d chow down on it.

Ava Street Cafe is very open, clean, and modernly decorated. The Vietnamese food they serve is delicious and fresh! The menu’s layout is attractive but pretty confusing. That’s my only criticism! The staff were friendly and the spring rolls and “the works” rice plate were delicious and satisfying! I’ll definitely be going back and recommending to my friends at the hospital that they grab lunch here.
