Neighborhood-type bar joint. Sat at bar. Went for Thursday oyster special pricing, ordered one dozen, which were delicious. The oyster special starts at 4:00 and supposedly runs until closing, but even though they didn’t seem overly busy, they ran out at 5:30 or so, which we discovered when we tried to order another dozen – not sure if that’s typical, but I’m guessing you’d need to get there early to actually take advantage of the special. Ordered two types of pizza, which came out very quickly and was truly exceptional – super crispy crust from an obviously very hot brick oven – perfect! Bartenders were friendly but had to flag them down more than once – although sitting at bar – for orders and refills, even though, again, they weren’t especially crowded. DJ started around 6:00, played a great variety of music just loud enough to enjoy, but not too loud to talk. Fantastic beer selection, they have close to 30 on tap. Enjoyable spot.

I haven’t been here for a long time, didn’t realize I neglected to post a review. So first of all, fantastic decor with the rustic wood look. Also, very good menu, and great beers on tap. I described to the waiter what I was in the mood for based on more commonly known beers, and he brought me a Untied Turkeytown Oktoberfest that was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious. My friend’s pork chop was very dry though, and the service was a bit absent at times. So it’s not a perfect 5 stars, but I’m pretty sure if you go here you will want to come back. Definitely recommended, go and enjoy!

As far as we know … this is only one of the few places that has this amazing Toki machine !!! They also a great selection of bourbon. Rye, Beer and Food! Btw, the head bartender is awesome

Always delicious food and drinks at Ava’s. Pizzas are top notch, as is almost anything else I’ve had on the menu. Extensive menu of creative cocktails and they are always rotating new specials. Good atmosphere as well especially when DJ Joe Mondi is playing!

I was at Ava’s Saturday with a group of friends. The server and atmosphere were great! However, I’m vegan and was told by my server that the arugula salad could be made vegan. It was not. When I asked, he stated the cook said it was beyond meat. My friend tasted it…it was definitely meat. Also, the vegan pizza was ok, and if vegan meat was an option, why not add that to the pizza instead of just olives and onions? The bread that the pizza is made with is great! My issue is the dishonesty. The server even felt bad. Yes, I should have sent it back, I also should not have been charged for it and still was regardless. I didn’t make a big deal because I believe in karma and doing the right thing. I brought it up twice, and nothing was done. So, a review. The best thing to do is be honest with your customers. If you don’t have food to offer those with restrictions, they should be honest when asked from the jump.

It was okay, I ordered some spaghetti carbonara wish was good and a cocktail SHANI which was okay. I also order an margarita it was so horrible, pure vodka flavor. We order bread which was burn on the side.
