Different cheesesteak item #1070 in the last five years. I hate myself for loving the Grilled Cheese and Short Rib sandwich. They need to hire people. Taylor is wonderful but she is just one person. She was greeting, seating, waiting tables, bartending, clearing and setting tables. If I’m paying $16 for a grilled cheese and $12 for my Maple Rye Smash, I want more people waiting on me. I did love the sandwich. It was very flavorful and had a good amount of meat. It came with very good fries. I don’t know how she found time to do it but Taylor made me a wonderful Maple Rye Smash. PS the plate was cracked.

The coffee was amazing and so was the food. If you are looking for a real treat, the crème brûlée waffle is incredible. I will probably order that each time I go. The service was a little slower, but the food was so good, we didn’t mind at all.

My friend and I enjoyed lunch on a weekday afternoon. Her Caprese sandwich was nicely grilled and came with delicious fries. My grilled cheese plus short rib was amazing. It should have been billed as short rib plus grilled cheese, it was stacked so high with thinly sliced, tender and tasty short rib. The accompanying side salad provided a refreshing counterpart.

Cute place, delicious food. I would give a five star if it wasnt for the fact that they tossed a boxed $19 creme brûlée waffle after no more than 20 mins of me leaving and could not offer a replacement. I work in the hospitality industry myself and our protocol is to hold a tray just in case a patron comes back, within an hour, 30 minutes at the very least. I guess you can’t expect that kind of courtesy just anywhere.

We had a group of 10 here. Most of the food was good. One turkey burger came out rare that had to go back and a martini was served warm that had to go back. Luckily the staff is friendly. We enjoyed our time even with the hiccups because they corrected everything quickly and with a smile. I would go back for a second chance.

Visit this place on a Sunday in hopes to get brunch, got there at 3:17 and they had ended brunch at 3. Was pretty upset considering I called before and a guy told me they end at 4 – driving all the way from Wilmington for brunch and not getting it was saddening. Luckily our waiter Anna was a fantastic waiter and recommended some great dishes like the short rib grilled cheese. She had our drinks together and everything, it was PERFECT.

My son was visiting from Washington DC and we met at Avenue Kitchen for brunch to celebrate his 30th. I sent them the menu ahead of time. They were extremely impressed! When the food arrived they were in awe. The big hit was my creme brulee waffles! After our meal my son stated, “mom whenever we come visit we have to always come here.” It was my second time dining at Avenue Kitchen and it will not be the last~♡♡♡♡

Classy atmosphere, great selections, reasonable pricing. This is a nice place for a romantic dinner, lunch w friends, business meeting. Not a kid friendly space. The menu offered comfort food–meatloaf – awesome; and inventive options–sesame tuna rice bowl – delectable, fresh seared tuna. Can’t wait to go back and next time I’m saving room for dessert
