Pietro & Juanita Avolio dreamt of one day owning their own restaurant where they would be able to share their homemade recipes with the community. Pietro spent much of his time growing up in Pacentro, Italy learning various recipes from his mother and sisters. When they found their way to Covina, he continued to spend countless hours perfecting those homemade sauces, noodles and breads. So when you dine at Avolio’s Italian Restaurant, every bite holds a morsel of our family history. Take a look at our expansive menu and order a dish or three — this way, you’ll walk away with plenty of leftovers. If you can’t make it over, no problem: With takeout, delivery, and catering options, we’ve got you covered.

Great flavor to the food, a large variety to choose from. Definitely recommend the spumoni, it was rich and delicious!

Avolio’s is a small ma and pa Authentic Italian restaurant with a pretty good variety of dishes. The food tastes authentic and homemade, the service is 5 stars as the staff members are attentive to the customer. The ambiance is chill, comfy, old school. Everything about this place is perfect. You’ve got to try it.

Small place but didn’t wait long for a table for two. Our server, Aaron, was AWESOME and the food was delicious! The garlic bread that comes with the meals might even be better than the appetizer garlic cheese bread we ordered. So fresh and tasty! The only negative was that the food took a little while to reach our table because Aaron said “they were slammed”. But food and service made it worth the wait. I definitely recommend this place!

Went in during the week and ordered a lunch special. I also got a cheese pizza. Where to start? The cheese pizza dough was thick and tasted like LAUSD lunch pizza. The dough didn’t taste fresh either very hard. My partner got a lasagna and it was bad. It had a rancid taste and I know the meat was not good. Ended up leaving the lasagna. For a Italian restaurant that has been around decades it is not any good. Only thing I enjoyed was the ranch. It was good. Everything else was bad. Service ok. Atmosphere alright. Food horrible.

Food was good. Meatballs were a little too soft for me, though. It was different. Service was also good. They were able to accommodate our party of 15. Drawback was limited parking spaces.

We used to come here a lot in the past at that time the service and food was especially delicious….now? Have no ideas what happened as the quality of food has gone done the taste is bland the atmosphere reminds me of a soup kitchen did they change owners?

Ordered to-go on a Saturday night. We phoned in at 5:50 and they said it would be a 35-40 minute wait, so we got there at around 6:40 and they told us 10 more minutes.

We waited quite a while for our food, but so worth the wait!!! The food was fresh and hot for our party of 7. Our appetizers were yummy as well. If you are impatient then don’t go to a restaurant that’s going to take pride it how they prepare there food. 2 thumbs up
