AVVINO is a beautiful place to take someone on a date night. We had BBQ Creo Shrimp, bone-in rib eye, spinach cavatelli, and a few drinks. Starting with the food, the Shrimp was not good. Parts were uncooked and it left a slimy fishy taste in your mouth. The steak was asked to be medium and came out over well done, but still had a good flavor. The potatoes it came with was very good. It was my first time trying spinach cavatelli and it was amazing. I’ll definitely be getting that dish again if I see it on another menu. Now down to the service. Our waiter was not very attentive. I was never asked if I wanted a refill on my drink(lemonade), the other ladies kept my water full which I appreciate. There was a table right beside us that came in well after us and our waiter was very attentive to them. It made us feel very uncomfortable when we were half way through our meal and she did come ask us how it was going but the other table just got there meal and she was asking them how everything was going. We didn’t get asked that until we were done. She seemed very quick and short with us, no conversation no attempt at being a good hosts. She kinda made us feel like do we belong here. We had more polite waiters treat us better in passing than our own waiter. The average crowd was white middle aged people and we are a young black couple. With that, I hope she learns to not judge books by their cover and treat everyone with a fair treatment. Due to that weird treatment we won’t be returning.

Was impressed with the quality depth of flavors even with simple dishes. Had the dry aged pork chop with an amazing apple sauce The Ceviche for a starter. Both were on another level. Service was great as well.

My husband and I were looking to celebrate a few milestone achievements somewhere nice. We wanted to dress a bit fancier than usual and have some good quality, “fancy”, pricier food at a venue with a good atmosphere.

Great restaurant! Revolving menu created by the owners (a super nice married couple). We have dined there as date nights & for my wife’s birthday in their private room. (Private room is really nice setup for a group meal, very private…I highly suggest it!)

What a wonderful experience after yesterday’s debacle! Started off with the Milk & Honey appetizer. Perfect combinations of flavors and presentations was great. My wife ordered the special cocktail, Sevilla Spritz, which was a nice refreshment on a gorgeous day. Then she got the East End cocktail, which was even better! For our entrees we got the Ricotta Gnocchi and the Nine Gem Korma. The ricotta gnocchi was pretty good, fresh flavors, but a bit too heavy on what tasted to me like mint. My pick was the Nine Gem Korma and that did not disappoint. The only thing I would do is make it a bit less spicy, or at least ask the spice level. It was so good, I just couldn’t take the heat! This place definitely need a return trip!
