I had high expectations for this restaurant, but it was very disappointing. We ordered a hot seafood molcajeton, and it was not good. The seafood (shrimp, fish, octopus, etc) was drowning in salsa! The molcajeton does not come with a side of rice or beans. You have to order those separately. The other plate we ordered was fish tacos, which were ok, nothing outstanding. The chips and salsa were good, and the service was great. This was our first time going, and maybe we didn’t order a good dish. However, based on the reviews, I expected everything on the menu to be amazing.

Wow! We were blown away by the food quality. Simply one of the best in Albuquerque. The crispy beef tacos were the BEST I’ve ever tasted!! Tender, juicy beef with a delicious slow roasted flavor. Refried beans and rice were excellent. Excellent guacamole. Service was very friendly and attentive. Everything ordered was fantastic! You can’t go wrong here!!!

Okay restaurant but needs work. When we arrived many of the tables were dirty and stayed dirty during our stay. They only had one waitress she was nice. We ended up waiting 40 mins for our food and there was only two other tables taken beside us. The food is pricey and I know Mexican food isn’t cheap but I did mind that the menu wasn’t correct on our order and when I told them they told me they would fix it this one time but there menu changed, as if It was my fault the menu didn’t describe the plate change. Also the rice tastes very New Mexican style for being a Mexican restaurant. Other than that the green enchiladas are good.

Ay Mi Mexico is a very good restaurant. This establishment sets a high standard for its food quality and ensures that guests receive the same quality with every meal. Myself and an associate were served quality food. Tatiana’s professionalism gives this restaurant a good reputation. I am compelled to return as your guests for repeat visits. It was very uplifting to witness this business taking great care of a homeless veteran instead of treating them like a vagrant. I highly encourage everyone to support this business.
