I had been wanting to try out Bad Gyal Vegan for a while now & they did not disappoint! My order was absolutely delicious and full of flavor! I had plantains, yams, rice & fried oyster mushrooms…I asked the chef to surprise me with the sauce and it was *chefs kiss*! I CLEANED MY PLATE and had to do my happy dance. I will be back over and over again!

I had the vegan wings, rice and peas, yams, and collards. If you’re a vegan who misses chicken this place is it. The chicken sandwich and the wings are delicious. The yams are sweet and also great. I gave four stars because the ratio of ackee to empanada was skimpy although the ackee was delicious. The prices are very high. I wish they wouldn’t over charge because I would eat here regularly if they made them more reasonable. Overall though delicious.

I ordered the voxtails meal and caulifyah wings. The food was extremely salty especially the voxtails and they didn’t look anything like the pictures on here. They were small and thin and looked like pieces of sliced sausage rather than the mock oxtail in the pictures. The caulifyah wings were a bit over fried and the batter around it was also salty as well. This is therefore not food I would eat on a regular basis. I prefer Xtraction vegan restaurant on the other side of Marietta. Much healthier options that are well flavored with caribbean herbs and spices instead of heavy salt. I spent around $37 which wasn’t really worth it.

Got the voxtails and ackee egg rolls, voxtails were a tadbit salty . And the ackee egg rolls were fried a little to hard . But the flavor and potential is there. I’d definitely be back to try other dishes or get these plates again!! It is a bit pricey so be prepared.

The food is pretty good, they have some yummy sauces for the sandwiches and plates. The rice and peas is a pass, just as the mac and cheese, but I’ve tried a few others that are good. Unfortunate the service has lacked, I have known to wait 8-10min just to get someone to come get my order, maybe a bell in the front desk area could help with this. They’ll tell you it takes 15min for your dish to be ready, but in reality it takes 25-30min. I’ve been coming for a while, and the space keeps getting dirtier each time, I hope they can surely get on it. I have known to walk over what there is 45min to closing and got told they had already close.

So I finally got to try the voxtail, hot wings, meatloaf, mac and cheese, cabbage and plantain and OMGGGG not only did it taste like authentic Jamaican food the owner was so kind and welcoming! The staff was on point and everything was so clean! I’m so happy that I found another delicious vegan spot that actually doesn’t taste VEGAN. My family and I will definitely be regulars!

Delicious we ordered the Voxtail with the Mac, greens, and plantains. We also got a bread and fried rolls. The food was delicious and we had more than enough for lunch the next day. Our 2 year old tore it up. We’ve had this before when they were in North East ATL. This is a new location in the Marietta market (cute little place). It’s a bit on the pricey side but worth every penny bc of the amount and quality.
