Have been meaning to stop and check the place out for months. Finally had time to run in with my son. Owner was extremely helpful. The food was great. Catfish was perfect. Mac & Cheese was extra cheesy and full of flavor. Cornbread was as good as all the previous reviews said it was. Will definitely have to stop in again and try everything on the menu. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Seen this place on TikToc and decided to give it a try. Its a black womanowned business which is rare in this area.Walking in the space is beautifully decorated. The owner greeted us with a smile. She went over suggestions. She said they are known for their fried fish. I ordered the whitening, collards, yams and Mac n Cheese. The fish was fried fresh, not greasy and not over seasoned! The food was delicious. Being someone who cooks every Sunday and also grew up eating like this, I was amazed at how delicious everything was. The owner checked on us often and even came out to just have a friendly conversation. Which that right there says alot. Do yourself a favor and stop by! I for one will be back.

Delicious and got alot of food for $20. The pomegranate sweet tea is great. Mac and cheese was a little disappointing but it could have been an off day. The yams, jerk half chicken, rice & peas and cabbage were all great. Writing this makes me want to go there now. Check the hours first.

First time here & it was delicious I ordered two meals as I like to taste a little bit of everything. Meal 1: Fried fish (whitening) with pork & beans and mashed potatoes. The fish is fried to order and was fried perfect with great taste. The gravy for the potatoes had meat pieces and was amazing! The pork & beans were the best I ever tasted in my life! The seasoning is on point! Meal 2: Jerk chicken with mac & cheese and collard greens. The flavor of the jerk chicken was incredible and it fell off the bone. A big slice of cornbread is included with all meals, the cornbread is sweet and the edges are crispy. I couldn’t stop eating it! For drink I had the strawberry lemonade. I will definitely go back to try more items on the menu; curry chicken, curry goat, oxtails, fried fish, fried shrimp, fried chicken, smothered pork chops, turkey legs, ribs, meatloaf & more.

The food is delicious and taste like my family made it. Even my picky eaters were tearing the food up. The west indian food tastes really authentic. As someone that as been dissatisfied with most of the food in Frederick. I’m happy to have finally found a place that has met my expectations from food, presentation, cleanliness and customer service.

The food was very seasoned and flavorful! The young man with the dreads told me that the red sauce on the meatloaf was made with mumbo sauce and not ketchup! Lol soooo freaking good! The portions are BIG the meatloaf is huge a must get customer service is excellent ❣️

I have been eating here a couple of months in the beginning everything was fabulous. After she went through several cooks and was robbed things changed #1she is rude. One day I bought oxtail and smothered turkey. the food is now horrible. I called to let her know I had received old food this time and she hung up on me. Even still I kept giving her chances because I had experienced great food there in the beginning. The greens have no flavor. No smoked hammocks, no turkey necks, no fat back Just pounds of salt… The Mac and cheese is a glob of mess. I was eating here maybe 4 times a week she lost my business and vote of confidence. You can’t be rude to your customers because your husband left and just fall apart. This is time to show him you good on your own. If she wasn’t so rude I would left that out but honey. That’s my hard earned money. And I gave B. Andersons chance after chance hoping she would restore it to what it once was. I will never return again. How many chances do you get. I’ve been more then fair. Then she told my friend that’s why my customers are white people. Well honey that’s because they haven’t grown up on this food and aren’t sure what it should really taste like. That’s something Ms. B could have kept to herself she is so unprofessional. However we love the lady that works on the register she is as sweet as pie. I will miss talking with her she is always so joyful and sending you on your way with love. God bless her
