Hit and miss. Each time I’ve come it’s a different experience and inconsistent. One time I came right on time for a to go order and they stated they were waiting on my hot chips. Ten minutes later I got my food and hot chips were cold? I haven’t been back since and not sure I’ll return. Can’t say I’d recommend.

Got the grilled salmon with asparagus and potatoes. 18 dollarsThe grilled salmon is only a few inches long by maybe an inch wide. Waitress said they changed companies and that’s their portion size now. They changed the portion size but not the price lol. Waitress was great but the food isn’t worth it anymore.

We went in during the moving car show they have every year in Salem. It wasn’t too crowded. Service was good but she got our order wrong. We all ordered chips with out meal and we all got fries. Oh well. The fries were very good. The first sip of our beers was delightful.

This place is full of different types of history from Salem and the area. The server was very kind and we were seated quickly. My food came out lighting fast, I ordered fish and chips and it came out in 6 minutes tops. I was very pleased with how much it cost because the piece of fish was very large for only 13 and the dipping sauce was delicious. I will definitely come here again. My only gripe with the table was a little sticky but that hardly mattered.

In our group of 4 overall there were some inconsistencies in the food. The waitress told us she was hung over from the night before drinking, but we are all convinced she was drunk, which made for an interesting experience. Laughable really, I was hoping for better from what I’ve heard from others.

Wanted to go there for a long time, always heard good things. My boyfriend and I went in one day and the entire staff just stared at us and then continued with what they were doing. We waiting a good 5 minutes but each second just felt more and more uncomfortable, as it was not that busy at all inside the restaurant. I don’t know if you have to be a regular to get the attention of the staff but regardless it was awkward and we eventually just walked out the door. We live right in Salem so it very well could have been our regular place to go.

Don’t advise sitting on back patio. Waitress FORGOT we were there… waited forever for drinks, then for refills. Had to go find a staff so we could order. Had to go find someone to get to-go boxes AND to request our bill. Kept hearing the excuse “it’s crazy busy inside “, but we looked and they were less than 1/2 full and WE WERE ALSO PAYING CUSTOMERS! Only good thing… FOOD WAS GOOD!” Not sure I will ever go back…simple dinner took us close to 2 hours!! (only went for dinner… not drinking!
