Good atmosphere, good food, very cozy place, the only problem: THE WAITRESS, everything was fine at first, then she made us wait about 40 minutes for our order, she was not attentive at all, if she saw your empty glass she didn’t even try to ask if you wanted more water or something like that, we ordered a couple of beers and sauces and she forgot it, after 15 minutes waiting we had to ask ANOTHER waiter about that. The only thing that was fast and “efficient” was to deliver the check, even to take the card she was very rude and she didn’t even bother to get to the table, she just stretched her arm and took it. I feel bad for the place, besides the waitress they do meet expectations. The 10% tip we gave to her was WAY too much considering the service.

Went in for lunch today, Friday, and requested the round table. The rude blonde waitress very curtly stated that there was only room for 6 chairs, whereas we had 7 in the party. Upon looking at the table, we could definitely have fit one more chair and gently pointed that out. She obnoxiously refused and blamed the policy on the owner of the establishment. She also stated that if we tried to add the extra chair, she would kick us out. Well, she didn’t need to as we left and went to ‘Me & You Restaurant’ and had a lovely, sweet server who served us a delicious meal… I will never ever walk into Sweeney’s again, and apparently not a lot of people do as there was only one patron, sitting at the bar.

Definitely a local Bethpage bar. Loads of sports moms and dads celebrating their kids’ wins over a pint.. food was alright, I had the fish and chips. It was super oily.. my husband enjoyed the French dip, which was much more delicious!

Good food . Service is always pleasant cool staff. Nice atmosphere. Great vibes along with a good crowd. I always stop in when I am in Bethpage. Love this place . Has been a go to for many years. . Thants why I always come back. Year after year. Also a big selection of beers.

This is a nice looking, spacious tavern with a large bar and tv area and lots of tables for dining. However as the breaded entrees for dinner, I do not recommend it. We were large group for early Sunday dinner . The breaded chicken cutlets, the breaded chicken milanese and the breaded shrimp entrees some of us had, were very dry and the breaded coatings were much too thick. In addition there were no sides with the chicken milanese version except some mixed salad greens placed on top of the cutlets with a sharp balsamic dressing on the side. It would have been more forthright to say “side salad” and include a bed of rice or some potatoes. Plus there were hardly any tomatoes as indicated or they were diced so small to be unnoticed. The pork entree was dry as well.

Went for brunch on 2/19, first time since the pandemic…don’t know why we stayed away so long, I guess habits change. Anyway!! Was as fabulous as we remembered. Oh, the Bloody Mary’s were just perfect, my Breakfast Quesedilla was amazing (if a bit daunting in size), and my companions were just as delighted with their choices… one crooned over the Crabcake Benedict, and the other loved her Build your Omelette.
