It was our first time came here and got seat right away for what we requested. Promptly got the water poured with warm greeting from Jack. But we didn’t get drink order yet until 25 minutes then. Diana was good but the service kinda slow with 2 only servers on Saturday night.

The food is always excellent. You can make a meal just ordering appetizers and must have or try their ‘better cheddar’. Cozy feel and nice bar.(really nice in the fall & winter when they have the fireplace lit. The service can.be.spotty but has never been terrible, ranging from excellent to good, depending on the day and how busy they are. Interior is getting a little dated but still above average dor a ‘white linen tablecoth & napkin’ establishment. The food and seasonal specials are timeless and always very good to exceptional. Can’t go wrong with the Back Burner..

We went in for a light, very late lunch, and had each of their soups and the Better Cheddar appetizer. Absolutely complex, delicious flavors! And the garlic dusted super crispy flat bread was special in its own right. The staff seemed to have a nice team attitude and made us feel welcome. White table cloths, high-quality cuisine beautifully presented with a casual vibe through light rock music quietly piped in overhead. Highly recommend (especially after a visit to Mt Cuba Center)!

We went for burger nite and to catch up with a friend. We each, 3 of us, got burgers and they were cooked as requested, juicy at tastey. Our waiter did a good job, came by a few times to make sure all was well, and it was. The manager came by also and asked how our meals were, excellant! I had the brownie with ice cream for desert…very good. We had a good time last night catching up. Back Burner has casual but attractive decor and was clean. As were the restrooms. A really good bet for a good meal and a nice experience.

Love the Back Burner . It was my mom’s favorite restaurant so every year my daughter and I go to lunch there on May 12 to celebrate her life. Last week we had a delicious lunch including the Lemon Drop Martini, crab cake,salad etc. Patty T. was our server and just wonderful. Thank you for helping us celebrate our loved one’s life and for being so special, Patty. We will be back soon. ❤️

Didn’t think when we left reading pa that we were going to end up here, made the drive to the area to pick up some parts and stumbled across your great restaurant because it was the first place that showed up as open on a Monday evening. All I can says is amazing job to all of the staff from the hostess, Matt doing an outstanding job waiting and the chefs in the kitchen. We aren’t from the area but we will definitely try to get back and I would recommend you to anyone! 100 out of 10! Best place I’ve eaten in years thank you!

Wife and I went over for Tuesday Burger Night this week. I almost hate to tell people about this since it’s such an outstanding thing!! Great bar, outstanding staff and terrific burgers. Tuesday nights are so popular, its reservations ONLY … even at the bar!!
