Great bbq! Everything was super tender. The ribs were a little dried out but still fall off the bone. Only one kind of bbq sauce but it was still good. Their soft drinks didn’t have enough syrup, it was mostly carbonated water. Still recommend!

Delicious BBQ and good variety of side dishes. It’s off the beaten path where the locals go to eat which is what I look for. Friendly service and good food. We had their pork ribs which were good. Large restaurant which is good if you want to meet with a large group. Give them a try.

MMMM… so good! I went here with my husband and we both got loaded baked potatoes. He got his with brisket and I got mine with smoked turkey and they were both fabulous! The macaroni was very good and nostalgic but it could have used more seasoning. The coleslaw definitely needs improvement but the banana pudding was great! We both ate for under $40! I will be coming back.

My experience eating here was wonderful. Food was just absolutely incredible, the brisket was super tender and juicy, the mac & cheese was and the potato salad was nice too! I highly recommend this BBQ place and the prices were reasonable. I will eat here again!

Ok, I’m a KC BBQ lover but this brisket is rock solid and the smoked sausage was an awesome delight as well. Coleslaw was rather underwhelming but the potato salad was spot on. Baked beans was a nice surprise. The place is big and is inviting. We love this place.

We held our rehearsal dinner at Backwoods BBQ back in November, and we were so impressed not only by the food and accommodations, but by the spectacular customer service! The restaurant is large itself, but they have a good sized back room that can be used for private events, with doors that close and even a TV that we used to connect a photo slideshow to. The food was so tasty, and the staff seamlessly served our party of 60 people – that is a lot of mouths to feed! We are so grateful to Michael and his team for their kind service and flexibility to host our rehearsal dinner!

I will be dreaming about this food until I can get back to Texas again. My daughter and I did not know what good brisket was until we ate here!!! The food… all the food was good but that brisket OMG the best we have ever had! We both ordered the three meat platter I had ribs, sausage and brisket ….. my daughter did the same except she had chicken sausage. We also had sides of coleslaw, potato salad, Mac and cheese and the complimentary beans. My daughter also ordered a slice of chocolate pie that was topped with a heaping helping of meringue. Every last bite was wonderful. We went around dinner time and the place was packed not really any seating, so plan on that and they had sold out of few items the beef tips and loaded potato. Next time we will go earlier (we are already planning our next trip from Virginia). I cannot recommend this place enough if you are in the area or even near this area GO you will not be disappointed.

Out of the numerous bbq places I’ve tried in Texas, this one hits the top of my list without a doubt. The workers were all very friendly. The brisket was seasoned perfectly, and even though it was a leaner cut, it was cooked well and not at all dried out which is hard to find. The sides of Mac-n-cheese and potato salad were also very good. Thank you so much for doing bbq right!!
