Really enjoyed this place! Was traveling for work and stopped in for dinner. I had the Mississippi Piggy. A burger topped with pulled pork and coleslaw. Great atmosphere and the staff was great to talk to.

I came here while in town on business, the restaurant is attached to the hotel I was staying at and was highly recommended by the lady at the front desk. It doesn’t look like much on the outside but inside it has a pretty nice setup with a good size restaurant area and a separate room where the bar is located. I went with three co-workers and everyone was pleased with their food and service. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. The only things I was unhappy with are that they are closed on Monday and you can’t get frog legs as a side, only an entree. The gator bites were awesome! I definitely recommend checking this place out for a taste of Louisiana in Virginia.

Pretty neat little grill. I have the spicy fried alligator po boy. The food as a whole was tasty but the meat was a little on the rubbery side almost as though it had been frozen or slightly overcooked. Still, the service was good and the pricing seemed right. If I lived in the area I’d be inclined to return.

Wonderful finish to an awesome week at Occoneechee State Park Cabins. We had the Alligator and Bacon Cheese Fries Appetizers and they are DELISH! The Gator sauce is a unique and yummy, even on fries! We ordered Prompt and Friendly service, our server Melanie was excellent and personable. The time was Noonish, Our food was hot and fresh, Blues played while we enjoyed our burgers, I recommend the “Slap Ya Mamma” Burger, though I wouldn’t advise it :), the Collard Greens are BOSS! Smiles all the way around the table and the restaurant was clean. We’ll be taking a drive back sooner than later, it’s worth the Hour.

Originally was going to order the catfish plate, the waitress suggested that I try the ribs. Ribs where dry and inedible, got the catfish instead…… Tilapia is not catfish, didn’t even bother to complain. Shrimp dip was decent but portions were definitely small for 13 bucks. Won’t be returning.
