My first gastronomic experience with Bangalore style “Donne Biryani “ , the jackfruit vegetarian Biryani was delicious , with a good amount of meaty Jackfruit chunks .The Biryani was bursting with flavors . The spicy mushroom curry had a good heat to it and the mushrooms were cooked to perfection. And both dishes were light and non greasy. The serving portion was generous and the biryani was served on an eco friendly biodegradable bowl .

Pick up at iKitchen. Had the Karnataka style Donne biryani and chili chicken. Both were excellent. Order needs to go in almost a week ahead and pick up time is assigned for following Saturday. I wish there was reduced order times. Food is delicious and worth the extra planning.

I had an interesting experience today with this place I just came across a few hours ago. Hungry on a weekend, I came across this place that seems to have this interesting way of making biryani so I tried to place order by calling them, they said the biryani is finished but only the bottom part of biryani remains which they thought was a bit soggy so were reluctant to sell. I was like, meh, thats fine by me as this place was close by. Upon arriving for a pickup, not only they gave me 2 orders, they also didn’t charge me a dime and encouraged to come again by pre-ordering to taste the ‘good’ biryani. The part they gave me was still pretty delicious, will def try and order early on next weekend!

I recently got to San Jose from Bangalore, and one thing I hadn’t found here is good Donne biryani or hell even Donne biryani. Ordered from this place Badoota and damnn the authenticity and the flavor of the biryani is like I never left my every Sunday adda. I got a chance to talk to owners as well Rakesh and Rithesh, these guys are highly passionate on delivering the best quality biryani out there in the Bay Area. All this clout for a recent restaurant, impossible! Must try biryani, opens avenues to a new kind of biryani (for Bangaloreans old) other than the already existing Ghisa pita long grain basmati biryani. Personally I recommend getting the biryani with the kebab take my word you’ll never go back.

The only authentic Karnataka food place in the whole South Bay(or whole of Bay). Was pleasantly surprised with the flavors they packed in the chunky mutton pieces in the Donne Biryani which were juicy and had the perfect fat to meat ratio.

I recently ordered a takeaway from Badoota. I had heard good things about their bangalore style Donne biriyani and chicken kabab, so i decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed ! The biriyani was absolutely delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly and the mutton was tender and flavourful. The species were perfectly balanced, and the biriyani had a wonderful aroma. I also enjoyed that the fact that the biriyani was served in a Donne ( made from dried palm leaves). This gave the biriyani a unique flavor and texture.

Blown away! Authentic Karnataka Donne biryani in the bay. Being a Bangalorean i’m a Donne biryani fan and I must say badoota nailed it. Karnataka nati style Donne biryani was one of the few lacking cuisines here in the bay area and I’m glad badoota has fulfilled that now! Food is delicious and they have their specials every week so keep an eye out for that. I’m happy that I’ve found my weekend fix of nati style non veg meal which transports me back to good old Bangalore days. Superb taste, great quality and the portions are really generous too! Keep up the good work badoota team. Wish you guys great success.
