It is summer and they are open every day, all day! Yay!! Great place to eat, get ice cream, sit in the rockers by the water and just check out their set up there. Most workers are young and so sweet and pleasant. I live within walking distance, yikes! Lovely place!

Excellent stop on a long drive to grab some delicious seafood and relax with a peaceful lake view. Staff was friendly, clan strips were excellent. It was a bit warm so I sat inside, but the outdoor seating looked very nice. Tables were well cleaned immediately when someone stood up.

This little restaurant sits right at Mascoma Lakes edge. The decor is cute and inviting, and the employees are very friendly and accommodating, and the food is amazing. There are tables inside as well as outside at covered picnic tables, where you can eat and gaze out onto the lake. When you are done you can walk over to the icecream window and get yourself a treat to bring down by the water around the back of the building. On the backside of the restaurant there are benches and chairs set up over looking the water, and docks available to tie up your boat, as you float in from a wonderful day on the lake.

The new owners of the Hook have made some amazing improvements!! First, the menu – the selection is great for the venue. Exactly what you would expect, but higher quality food and great selection. Some of it is locally sourced too. Second – the staff is always so friendly and willing to help. Third – the technology & POS system is state of the art with pagers and digital screens. Fourth – the atmosphere is SO cool! There are multiple options for seating…inside, window seating, picnic tables, rockers, benches and even some grounded boats! It’s a theme-like setting with great tunes throughout.

Don’t go here often, for I am a tourist in this area. But if you ever get a chance to go, this is a great place to eat. And also to get ice cream. It was so creamy, I got the chocolate ice cream but they even have the best sandwiches as well.

Great place, I’ve always enjoyed coming here ever since I was little. Love the atmosphere, with the lake right beside the restaurant it is rather serene. Overall I would definitely recommend this to any body who loves good food and a nice sweet treat.

Delicious whole belly fried clams! Generous serving with perfectly cooked French fries. I even liked the coleslaw, which I am very picky about. My wife loved her fried scallop dinner also.
