Attended reunion dinner a couple weeks ago. Our group was in a large gathering room along with another group (a birthday maybe?). The room was stifling!!! No air conditioning, no air circulation, a few small ceiling fans on low. The restaurant was busy and seemed to be under staffed. The servers could not keep up with the walk-in diners and the groups in the party room. It took almost two hours for everyone in our group to be served. They were bringing out one or two orders at a time. We couldn’t get silverware, napkins, straws, water, (watered down) soda, drinks and several complaints about wrong orders.The quesadilla that I had was the worst I’ve ever tasted! It looked ok, but it wasn’t seasoned and had a watery processed white cheese sauce (not real cheese). There was no acknowledgment or apology the uncomfortable room temperature, or poor service.

Food was ok. I was surprised though when i noticed tip of 17.5 was already included in the check. All of my party was leaving cash tip and i had to let them know they were already being charged for it. It would be nice that they would notify people its already included.

Went there Thursday, not May 25 we had called on Monday and told them we would be there with about 25 people at approximately 630 graduation ceremony got there it was not ready for us really not a big deal until they get us seated. Have one waiter. It took him 30 minutes to make drink orders and get them delivered and not everybody got theirs, never got menus to order off of found a cockroach in a glass of tea and cockroaches walking on the floor. When told the manager about this no big deal when the food came out it was all messed up. Lotta people to get what they ordered. Then when the ticket fee came out they charged us for what we ordered that we didn’t get. Did not want to take it off the bill will not go back. Will tell anybody that wants to know. I will do not go there. I’m calling the health department. to

We have been coming here for the last couple of years & it keeps getting better & better. We used to be loyal to El Tapatio & only very rarely chose another Mexican restaurant, but each time we have eaten from Baja it has gotten better. So Baja has become our “go-to” place for Mexican. The food is fantastic & there is always enough for leftovers. Originally the only small complaint we had was the taste of the salsa but at some point they changed it & now the salsa is the best in town.
