Went to Bakudan with a mate, as our wives were having date night. Since we are the adventurous eaters, we went for something that our lovely spouses would not normally go for. Let me just say, we were impressed and pleased and agree to come back. Jokes aside the Octopus Balls were a highlight. Amazing presentation, delicately finished off with dried fish flakes on top. What a presentation and totally unexpected. House made ramen noodles, great fresh ingredients and fine service. Music selection was a bit off and loud so that is why 4⭐️ rating for atmosphere. If you haven’t been there, or another location, you are missing out.

The food was delicious! Although there was no wait to sit, there was a rather long wait to receive our food. The atmosphere had a good vibe, but the music was rather loud. I almost felt like I was in a club, a club with good food at least. The art on the walls and in the bathroom was cute, and the paper umbrellas and hanging flowers on the ceiling was a nice touch. It was hot inside, I felt like there was no air circulation, although I did see the umbrellas moving because the AC was on, I just didn’t feel it where I was sitting I suppose. Overall, I would come again.

First impression was that restaurant is very modern with Japanese samurai and ninja style. Black and red theme. The food was good for ramen. The soup broth was delicious and good portion. The bulgigi beef too salty for me. Highly recommend for takoyaki octopus balls. The staffs were very friendly and very accommodating if asked tonlower the music volume and lower the AC temperature as the it was raining/hail storm outside. You have to come by and check out your for full experience.

Our first time, my son liked the chicken gyoza ramen, my husband said it was alright. I had the bulgogi beef rice bowl it was ok but beef was dry. We started with gyoza and they were the best I’ve had! Crispy on the outside and meaty!

I had the Bakudan Bun as an appetizer, it was a great way to start off my experience. As the entree I ordered the Spicy Shoyu, the flavor of the broth was amazing and the portions will leave you satisfied yet somehow craving more. The rest of my party (8) had similar comments, even the pickiest eater out of the whole group (the child) ate as much as his tiny stomach could hold. All in all, great food and great service! We will definitely be going back for more soon!

Good food, you can sit and watch them making noodles at their bar seats. I like the atmosphere, its dark and seems very modern Japanese with louder than normal music banging away. Not all modern music. I made a Togo order and heard Michael jackson, 2 techno songs amd a reagaton song while waiting. The food came out quick and was hot and delicious!

Garlic tonkotsu is good. Can taste the garlic flavor. Pork chashu is good. Semi fried onion and garlic on top. It’s a oily ramen so just keep that in mind.

Bakudan was an awesome experience. I went on a Wednesday evening and it was a good crowd but I was seated right away. The ramen was fantastic as well as the service. I ended up getting the garlic tonkatsu ramen with a spicy bomb add on. They forgot my egg at first, but, when I pointed it out it was corrected immediately. The broth flavors and noodle textures were awesome and the pork was extremely tender.
