The food was surprisingly tasty. Recommended the hamburger steak with green beans. Green beans taste like moms. Quaint atmosphere, local conversations, sleepy little town. Friendly waitress although busy. Looks like she works alone.

The poor waitress was obviously needing help. Only 2 people in the kitchen for a lunch rush seems a little lite to me, but what do I know? Took us 25 minutes to get our food. We never got a check because the waitress was too busy either on the phone take orders or checking people out. It literally took us another 20 minutes to check out. At this point the food is really irrelevant. But it was pretty good actually. Just gotta seriously work on the service. Of course I’m not from there either. Perhaps that’s the level of service the town is used to receiving.

After my daughter had breakfast, I bought a cinnamon roll to take to my Dad,who is in a care facility. The waitress went in the back and I discovered after I got the roll out to gift my Dad, it was stale and hard…. and dated 4/20/21- so two weeks old! Dry, stale and hard. She hadn’t even warmed it up. Utter rubbish. We will not be going back there despite coming into town each week to see my Dad. Bad food doesn’t get second chances.
