Do I give the atmosphere a high or low rating? It’s the real deal, not pretty but better if the food is good and it is. The sauce is as good as the dry rub. The meat is moist and tender. I got the sampler and it’s a bit too big by myself. Got a chocolate chip cookie and it’s a cross between cake and cookie, kinda fluffy. The cookie and the potato salad was good, not great. Be careful, there’s an extra sauce hiding under the bread. We parked in back.

Blink and you miss it. Park in back. Really fine award winning bbq at place where the owner is the cook. Quaint and casual. Piled on high in real Memphis style. A combination of dry and wet seasoning to taste. Beans both obvious and secret additives and a really fine potato salad. The sandwich come with slaw on the side for you to load to suit yourself. Bailey brought us some rib tips to taste. Really tender.

Top tier BBQ! You can smell the smoky goodness from the outside from the pit in the back. We tried ribs, rib tips, baked beans, and potato salad. This meal reminded me of the food you get from the family cookout. That dry rub on the meat is phenomenal, so flavorful. I like that the bbq sauce is on the side for those who may or may not want it; the sauce is vinegar-based and thin. The meat is tender and falls off the bone, and the sides stand apart on their own. Enjoyed this meal from start to finish. Dine in area is closed so to go orders only.

Don’t let the outside fool you, this place knows bbq. You have to get the sampler, the Ribs were amazing, the pork was really good, the sausage was really good, the rib tips were unreal, everything just went so well together. They only have one type of sauce but that’s all youll need…The beans were clearly not canned with pieces of pork that packed it with flavor. They even do spaghetti as a side which was surprisingly flavorful, one that could rival some fancy Italian places a definite must try side… and a definite must try experience, just limited outdoor seating..

Been tryna get here for a minute.. I order the Rib Tips which is 11.00 a pound , so kinda pricey, but it was good, only thing, could of used a little more season, but very tender, with a side a baked beans.

This place set the tone for what you are going to get as soon as you get out of the car! They had that pit smoking and the smell was fantastic! Walking in they set the bar high with the aroma and let me say they delivered with the taste. I ordered the sampler because I just could not decide. I also ordered a sandwich because the smell of that barbecue put me in full hunger mode. I highly recommend this place.

This is the real deal…the best Memphis BBQ. I enjoyed the BBQ Sampler a little bit of everything because I could not decide. We also had the Turkey Leg…cooked to perfection… potato salad and coleslaw great sides to compliment the BBQ. Finished the meal off with Banana Pudding Pie… OMG. Steer clear of all the Memphis BBQ tourist traps and treat yourself to the real thing. You will be one Happy Camper… guaranteed

I’m not from this area but I know a lot of people here and tried to support this business by buying three meals and sides. The meat was tough and I reached out to owner to get this issued rectified and he continuously tried to tell me reasons why it could’ve of happened so for that he lost a lot of business I have a construction company that I buy meal from locally black owned businesses for my employees but I would never spend another cent in a establishment who would not listen and try to rectify issues with all customers. Got to think outside the box and not be so prideful it’s not a good look.

My husband and I were losing some faith with Memphis after going to Central BBQ but this place completely changed our minds. First off, it’s a hole-in-a-wall kinda spot and the area is also pretty rough so just be cautious if you’re heading here. There’s a private parking lot near the back and an entrance you can use to get inside (it’s on both sides but if you want to be more discreet walking in, then go through the back door). I believe it was the owner who took our order and made our food- he was nice and gave us suggestions on what we should get. We ordered a full slab of ribs, smoked sausage lunch combo with potato salad and baked beans. They aren’t doing dine-in currently due to COVID so take-outs only.

Stopped in Memphis for lunch on a big road trip. I’m from Boston, and I’ve loved BBQ all my life, and this was the best I’ve ever had. Ribs had a perfect crust and were smoked to perfection. Service was friendly and prices were good. Can’t wait to come back.
