Bambu is definitely a favorite of mine, whether it is for milk tea or food. A snack favorite is the waffle. My favorite dish in general would be the vermicelli bowl. I don’t live in the area, but it’s worth the drive. The service is always great. They treat you with such kindness, I can’t complain at all. If you’re ever in the area and want to try something new, please give them a try.

Hands down the best fried chicken banh mi in New York (literally I cannot find fried chicken banh mi anywhere else, please let me know if you know a place!). They also have extremely delicious drinks and dessert. There are 7-8 tables for sitting and this place fills up with students and people around the area throughout the day. There is also a bathroom.

Update: some staff do have attitude for no reason. An older female lectured me, literally lectured me for not giving her a head up about requesting for hot sauce, she kept on lecturing and ended it with “this time I will give it to you, but next time you have to let me know earlier, so I can prepare it for you”. All I said to her was “can I have hot sauce, please?” That was it. It was a rainy day, there was no customer or online order beside me. Her attitude and lecture were so uncalled for.

This joint could have been near perfect! The lady who sometimes takes and makes the orders is awesome! If you wanna customize your milk teas and slushies, she gets it right with a smile in her face! There’s a guy who takes orders who seems like he doesn’t like to be there, so rude and whenever you change your mind about your order, you will see the annoyance in his face. Customize your drink, let’s say you want half of the sweetness, expect it to be sweeter than normal. Try calling in your order for pick up, fkin rude to the bones! I keep on coming back because most of their products tastes good! Especially when the Lady is the one dealing with your orders. But I’m close to having enough of that guy, I don’t think it’s language barrier, he can speak good english, it’s more like “Fkin hell here’s another customer!” vibe.

Consistently some of the best drinks in Stony Brook, and although the food menu isn’t advertised as much as the drinks, every item has been fantastic. The Thai tea, pandan waffles, and any type of banh mi are all standouts, but you won’t be disappointed with anything you try.
