Great hospitality. Definitely not vegetarian though. Also there was no menu so the +$30 bill (for two entrees, one vegetarian) was a unpleasant surprise.

We had the chicken and goat with basalmic safron rice. It was absolutely delicious! Get the small plate unless you are really hungry. The portions are huge! Also the Somali tea was so delicious too. Kind staff…put this on your choices to eat the next time you are in Aberdeen!

Amazing East African/ Middleastern food! I’m a foodie and love all kinds of food, but I can honestly say this little place had me driving immediately back 20 miles just to get more of their delicious sauces and ask about their food. Very friendly and reasonable, especially since they give you enough food for 2-3 meals in one sitting. I’m obsessed!

I had the Federation. It has Goat and Camel with rice, noodles, small lettuce salad. This is a lot of food for $12.

Cozy. Before you go understand what you’re getting into. It’s a very small dining room with the chef waiting on you. The eating area is attached to a very small Market where you’ll pay. The menu is limited but homemade. As the food takes a long long time to make it’s all pre-prepared so the service time will be in minutes.

I was really hungry, I pointed at a plate on the table in front the Matriarch. I asked for a plate of something good. I was not disappointed. The dish was reminiscent of a stir fry. The flat bread was the perfect utensil for the scoop/grab action required; I had observed tge technique before. The dish was so amazingly flavorful. I enjoyed every bite. A large plate of chicken and vegitables with tea and a soda: ten dollars. I would recommend this place whole-heartedly.

Banadir Kitchen is a favorite! Flavorful, Delicious food! The portions are big enough to share! Try the mixed meat plate served with saffron rice, noodles, a lettuce salad, fresh lime and a choice of hot sauce.

Stopped in here today for the first time. Very nice staff. They were out of take out menus but other than that everything was good. Stop in and check it out for lunch.
