My go to pizza place in Santa Cruz. Cant find many great tomato pies (marinara) around, let alone places that have vegan pizza that isn’t over produced with fake cheese. Great, friendly, and efficient service with great outdoor seating.

Great ambiance, friendly staff, and good drinks. The highlight was the Stinging Nettles pizza. Our server recommended it with such enthusiasm and I thank them for doing so because it is officially my favorite pizza I’ve ever had. I’m from Los Angeles and from now on, if I’m ever in the vicinity of Bantam, I’ll be an excited returning diner!

Great meal all the way around. They don’t do reservations so dropped in at 5pm when they opened for an early dinner. Filled up quickly – was rainy no outdoor seating – good vibe inside. Our waiter Spencer was fun and great service. Everything we got pretty darn tasty. Their bourbon specialty cocktail “The Professor” highly recommend. Chicken with sweet potatoes, pepperoni pizza, bread and butter and caesar salad all highly tasty. Going back for sure.

Absolutely the biggest waste of money. I’m a neapolitan trained chef and no one at this place knows a single thing about using a wood fire oven, let alone throwing dough. A backhand to the face of all those of the culture that grew up with this style of cooking and know it as an art, ONLY a tourist money grab!! Just a disappointment to wood fired pizza. Save your money, don’t get pizza here or in santa cruz for what its worth. True is true. This is NOT pizza at all!!! First pic is theirs and the second is from Napoli. Bro really…

Really great meal. Pizzas were incredible and the staff was interactive with our kids showing them the pizza oven.

Good food but too noisy to enjoy it. Four of us shared three starters and two pizzas, and found the food to be quite good, interesting and well-prepared. But the loud music causes all the other diners to shout, and with all the hard surfaces, it’s almost deafening. We couldn’t enjoy the dinner with all that chaos, sadly.

Ordered pickup at 6:23P, was told it would be ready at 7:00P. Food wasn’t ready until 7:35P. Pizza was cold but probably great if it’s warm. Fried chicken dinner was delicious. Might give them a second try as dine in. I don’t recommend carry out.

MFG _
Bantam, was an absolutely incredible dining experience! To start, they offered an incredible selection of, wines, beers, and non alcoholic beverages. Food wise, I chose, their bacon, stone fruit, and buratta pizza, as well as a marinara pizza with sausage and mozzarella. I also had the seared scallops, and I kid you not, I have never eaten faster. The stone fruit added a great contrast to the bacon and buratta. The classic marinara, sausage, and mozzarella pizza was delicious, with a bit of a kick to it. The scallops where perfectly seasoned, and well seared. Everything complimented each other, in every dish. Absolutely delicious, I will definitely be sure to be back here!

Delicious pizzas. Ordered takeout at the restaurant. Server had an unsympathetic attitude about some dietary restrictions but the chef came over and figured it out for us – even suggested a different option that was great.

I came back to this restaurant after a good first experience. This time was quite a disappointment -caesar salad was drenched in dressing, pork belly and mussels were served in the water the mussels were cooked in without any seasoning or other ingredients (not what I would expect for the price), pizzas were inconsistent, dough was not as good as first time. Food took forever to come to the table. Very disappointing. Go to Mentone where you will spend the same amount of money for pizza
