Food was delicious! I love the Louisiana twist this Asian Fusion restaurant creates. Everything was so yummy, will go again for sure! Ask for the Tea Egg as an extra (not listed on menu)- it is devine!

Edited 11/30/19 to add that the new space is fantastic!!!! Congrats!!!! The closest thing to NYC Chinese in Nola. Nothing fancy in terms of decor, but the server was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The meal was delicious. We tried two appetizers that were the daily special.. Sweet and sour spareribs with the most amazing pickly cucumber cilantro concoction on top followed by shrimp and pork pan fried dumplings. Both were stellar. For dinner we split Dan Dan noodles and the lamb noodle dish. Both were fresh noodles cut and made to order. The Dan Dan noodles were dense and chewy, the noodles on the Dan Dan dish were more soft and doughy. Really delicious and plenty of good for $40. Updated to add: Still top notch. You will never be disappointed with ordering their daily bun, dumpling or bao either.

The was better than expected. The atmosphere was great and homey. Definitely would recommend this place for a cool date or a get together with friends. Byob is always cool as well. The waitress was cool polite and down to earth.

Quaint Chinese eatery in a quiet neighborhood. Not your typical Americanized Chinese food. All noodles are made fresh in house as are the baos. Dan Dan noodles are spicy enough and the noodles are chewy without being gummy. Make sure you toss the ingredients together before eating. See the pics. All was delicious.

“Creative” fusion takes on Chinese food are cute, but this just left me wanting the real thing. The flavors were unbalanced and only vaguely resembled Chinese food from China.

Let me start with the good, the lamb curry noodles were tasty. I wouldn’t go back otherwise. The buns were under seasoned and the dipping sauce was basically just soy sauce. The scallion pancakes were burnt and overcooked and served with the same dipping sauce. I really hoped this place would be awesome, but unfortunately I was really just unimpressed.

Meh. Bao was delicious, but duck was chewy and overcooked. Dan Dan noodles were too chewy and undercooked and had an extremely weird, not very good flavor to them.

The greatest noodz you will ever get. Don’t sleep on that salad. Also for my fellow drunks, 7am Dan dan out the fridge is the ultimate hangover cure 😉 please give them all your money so they can open more then two nights a week.

I eat here every other weekend. ok, every weekend. Best restaurant on this side of town, period. from Manhattan to Silverlake – these are the best Dan Dan noodles anywhere. Home made, used to be. numb your mouth spicy, but it’s far more tolerable now. So delicious. The bao is fun to eat. I get moodles without pork (I don’t eat pork, though in New Orleans it’s not possible to eat without alittle cochon in your food). and the tea salad, so refreshing, so many seeds and light ingredients.

Great atmosphere and even better food. Not a quick meal with only one server but my friends and I had a great time. Tried a few different menu items- the pork was sooo good, but the Dan Dan noodle dish and the dumplings were definitely my favorite. Highly recommend.
