It is a nice Chinese restaurant. The service was great and really quick. The food was pretty good too. The pork buns were a good appetizer a it was not too filling but provided enough substance to at your whistle. I got the orange chicken which was a little different than my usual take-out orange chicken. Yet, it was still pretty good. It didn’t come with rice so make sure to ask for some or order a side dish if you are really hungry.

I am so excited to have bao closer to us! As moving from the west coast I was over the moon to try this place. The first time we attempted to visit this place the wait was over and hour and they were out of all buns and hot pot. Understandable as I am sure everyone else is also excited to give this place a try. We finally found time to give it another chance and we were very happy and pleased with the taste! The walnut shrimp is something to hyper-fixate over & the bao was just right. We will definitely being eating here again, only complaint is our server was a little awkward and we felt kind of rushed to order and be done.

The food was bursting with flavor! Our waitress was sweet and served us well. The restaurant had a great vibe and it was clean, well laid out. The bonus was the diaper changing table in the bathroom, which was maintained well!

So we were excited to try a new place. We are always looking to try new authentic cuisine. We tried the first Bao on the menu. Partly fried, and filled with pork belly. Good start! Tried pot stickers, this would be my only knock on the food. It was very lightly fried. I like them to have some crunch. Then we ordered chicken and beans, roasted eggplant and pork, and Szechuan beef. Everything had really great flavors. My favorite is probably the beef. The flavor was sooo good! On top of the great food the service was great! This is a family run business and everyone we dealt with was great! Looking forward to coming again soon.

Finally a restaurant that lives up to its name for calling itself “authentic”. Went on a Saturday and sat at the bar, food came out very fast, service is on point, and I was blown away by the authenticity of the food. Having had true Taiwanese cuisine, it’s been difficult finding true Chinese restaurants that isn’t Americanized Chinese food. I now have a good Chinese restaurant to eat at that isn’t in south Charlotte. Hats off to the chefs, keep up the great work!!

I don’t really like Chinese food. That is until I tried this place. I went to the suggestion of my Fiance and wasn’t expecting much. I got my food, and it was literally heaven! The service was great, the lady who took care of us was helpful with recommendations and of course the food was amazing!

I grew up with LA Chinatown cooking and finally found a place that’s like LA Chinese food. We ordered xiao long bao, mapo tofu, and stir fried noodles with seafood. Our waitress was super kind and attentive. The food come out fast and hot, and honestly amazing. I was pretty impressed with the noodles because they were like Chinatown noodles. Mapo tofu is my favorite dish and this did not disappoint. And the xiao long bao was delicious. I loved the vibe with a mural reflecting Charlotte with the skyline, Panthers, and Bank of America stadium. It’s a great place and can’t wait to bring friends next time!
