We decided to use Bar Cilento to host our rehearsal dinner. The outdoor patio was the perfect location for our party. Our guests ranged from young to old. The patio was the perfect setting to accommodate the party. Guests were free to comfortably mingle and take pictures without feeling crammed. Lighting and outdoor plants provided beautiful backdrops for photos. The food selection was versatile and tasted great. Pricing was very reasonable. Staff was flexible and accommodating, given the large group of 50+ we had in attendance. We are very happy we decided to host our rehearsal dinner here and would absolutely recommend them to others. Didn’t really care for the live music there on a Sunday. Service took a while to get to us and didn’t seem particularly interested in helping us. The patio area is tremendous and if you go inside, the bar area is a good time.

Cilento is a local bar, with a dining room. The menu is very surprising for a “bar”. Much better selection, and certainly higher quality than one would expect at a “bar”. I think Cilento should be considered more a restaurant with a nice bar, and great atmosphere for watching sports. The staff is spectacular! They are very friendly and accommodating. The food will surprise you! Go for a great dinner, then stay around to socialize at the bar, if that is your thing.

We sat outside, and the appetizers looked so good, we decided to just have appetizers. The staff was super friendly and checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything. We ate Burrata, chicken wings, drunken class, and crispy pork belly.

I’m going to chalk the somewhat frustrating service up to potential understaffing which I can empathize with. However, I cannot understand how google gave 4.6 stars—the quality was okay (*maybe* 4 stars) but the portions were upsettingly small for both the calamari (though at $11 maybe appropriately priced) and my salad (at $21 I would have expected far more lettuce, it made for a sad appetizer and I left hungry). My husband said the steak was just okay too. Positives: they were super accommodating when I had to switch my reservation.

We just moved to Berkeley Hts and discovered Cilento. It is now our ‘go to’ place for fantastic outdoor dining – patio is so relaxing, food is authentic and delicious, and Sam the owner made us feel welcomed and part of the family. We do hope they bring back the pizzas soon!
