So impressed with this Italian restaurant/bar. First off, I went within a few weeks of opening and both food and service were on point. As soon as we entered, the sweet hostesses welcomed my 4 year old and pulled out a box of little toys and asked her to pick one. Adorable! The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu/drinks, so clearly this restaurant group has top notch management given it’s recent open.

On the site of the late-lamented Stellina. Overall, there’s more good news than bad news. It’s a pleasant, modern restaurant that does a generally good job with the food, offering a decent number of options. I saw lots of happy young adults and families; always a good sign.

A friend and I thought we’d check it out & we’re glad we did! The ambiance was on trend & brand. Mix of the old and the new (exposed brick with a splash of modern day farmhouse that could pass as a modern old school Italian). The food was delicious & considering that I was dining with my 70 yr old (she is very proud of that #, hence why I am noting it) Italian friend, who knows good Italian food & a great cook herself, that is saying something! Cocktails , meatballs, prosciutto with fig & goat cheese, gelato were a few menu items. There was so much we wanted to try but our eyes were way bigger than our stomachs, giving each of us a reason to return with other friends and our families. Which will be a delight with their rewards program. No, I don’t own stock in the company but why not reward & give back to those who give you regular business. ♀️

Amazing staff and great atmosphere, we got our orders fast even though the restaurant was packed. The food however, was mediocre to say the least. The share plates were average, but the main was a big disappointment. I ordered a chicken milanese marinated with white beans, arugula, chicories, lemon vinaigrette, salsa verde and Parmesan. I got a sad, bland chicken breast drenched in soggy, wilted salad and a slice of lemon. The chicken barely had any vinaigrette, and I missed the beans and chicory in my salad – it was all arugula and red greens. I don’t blame the cooks, they actually cooked the breast decently. The dish, from it’s conception to execution, is simply a disaster. Che schifo!

We had a great time opening night at Bar ‘cino. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. They went above and beyond to entertain our toddler, even giving her a toy and coming by to say hi often. The wine selection was very good and we tried four wines and liked them all. The food was good, not the most amazing food ever but solidly good. We really enjoyed the margarita pizza, the meatballs and the tomato bruschetta. The kid’s margarita pizza was huge! The kale salad and cauliflower were also good, just maybe don’t live up to some of our favorites elsewhere. My husband also enjoyed the steak, the chimichurri sauce was very good. We will definitely be back.

A great new add to Watertown square. Nice vibes. Staff is really nice. Easy for nearby locals to walk to and also ample parking in the back. Espresso martini and pepper lemonade were great. Crispy cauliflower and the tagliatelle were excellent.
