Bar Italia is a nice spot in the CWE. The atmosphere outside is better than inside, the service is ok, they aren’t super attentive but you will still get what you need. The food is ok as well, not exactly raving to get back but it’s good for the night. As a St. Louis native I’ve been here before and it’s kinda just the same as always. I will say the best part are the drinks! So you won’t be disappointed going here but you also won’t be excited to come back.

So this place I recommend highly. Great vibe, excellent food and the street it is on is beautiful with lit trees. $$$ it is worth it for the food and hopefully all the waiters are like ours. Knowledgeable, friendly, happy to be there. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others. Clean everything. Clean restrooms. An overall good experience. This place is good for conversations low noise level.

As a general rule, I don’t patron any establishments that have lower than a 4.5 star rating on Google maps. At the time of writing this and my visit, Bar Italia had a 4.3 star rating of 385 reviews. Bruschetta was unique but still good. Delicious espresso martinis and a hibiscus gin cocktail. Beautiful patio with shade in the evening and great service. Frutti di Mare was ok while the diver scallops had better quality seafood but would likely try new dishes.
