Really good service and friendly staff. Drinks were great. Main issue was some of the food. Given the pricing tier was surprised at misfires. Over salted or over seasoned in many cases. Dish was overwhelmed with salt. Some too much lemon or singular aroma was overwhelming. Ricotta in the ravioli was extremely salty and the dish had a bad smell. Favorite was zucchini flowers.

Bar Volpe is my new favorite Italian restaurant – the quality is so visible in everything they make and the food is outstanding. The people are incredibly nice and helpful when choosing the right dish or drink to pair. The atmosphere is lovely – on a nice summer night they open up their windows and there is a freshness in the air, music is at the perfect noise level and help create a wonderful dining atmosphere.

Really solid choice, appetizers were all stellar, although the burrata dish should have been served with a side of bread included (instead of at an extra cost, burrata needs to be paired with bread!) as it would be in Italy or France… The ricotta gnocchi was the lightest, fluffiest take on a ricotta gnocchi that we’d ever tasted and the wine pairings were also really good. We’ll be back, for sure!

The Branzino fish was excellent! Very tasty. It was plated on a small bed of greens and topped with grilled/sauteed peppers. Yummy. It didn’t come with a side so I ordered a side of cheese and butter sauteed pasta. It appeared as a “kids pasta” on the receipt. For an appetizer I ordered the chick pea fritters and they were delicious. For dessert I had the citrus olive oil cake. Next time I would definitely pair it with some tea. It’s that type of your grandma’s afternoon tea cake . I also had a great mocktail (grenadine, pineapple juice and ginger beer). I dined by myself and with a tip it was $100+. I would definitely come back when entertaining people from out of town or for a birthday dinner. The only thing I missed having to start my dining experience was bread. None was offered☹️.

Nice restaurant. The food was good but not amazing. I have been in other restaurants with better food and less overpriced. First time doing family style for Italian and personally it doesn’t work for me. The desserts were very good thought. The drinks are hit and miss. One was very good the other one was borderline ok.

We came here for dinner and everything was delicious. The wait staff was friendly, though not as helpful as I had hoped in helping with wine selection. The food came out quickly and everything tasted fresh and well made. I especially liked that the dishes were flavorful but not overly salty. The wine by the glass selection was just okay. All in all it was a solid experience and we would come back again if we’re ever in the area.
