There are very few places you can go and have a sit down dinner from home. Days of when mom or grandma cooked dinner with kids in tow at a dinner table talking, teasing, eat, and being together this is Barbecue Barn. Food that bring you back to the table. A son to a father and a daughter to a mother. Good home food that brings you basics, the way God intended.

Good prices, great service, and good food. My husband really likes their BBQ. I like their chicken and hush puppies. Desserts are good too. Plenty of parking. Clean bathroom.

I have read about this place on Google and wanted to eat here. Maaaaaan was I in for the BEST taste in down home food. The cooks put their personal touches in every item on your plate. The waiters are really friendly and that for me is a BIG PLUS. We even got plates to go. We do plan on returning soon. Thanks Barbecue Barn for bringing back great tasting food at a delicious price.

Great place. Great food, and friendly staff. Me and my wife finally stopped by this evening. I had the BBQ and Chicken dinner and my wife had the Meatloaf plate. Both were EXCELLENT! The fried chicken was tender and not greasy, the hush puppies were awesome, and the BBQ was sweet. Also, some of the biggest, thickest onion rings I’ve ever seen. Everything was delicious!

After a long day at work, I decided to give this place a try. I’ve lived in Elizabeth City for a little over a year. I drove by it day after day. It’s appearance is cozy, very clean, normal prices, and the food is very good. I’m glad I was to tired to cook . This a family atmosphere, you will like the experience. I will be going back with my crew to Barbecue Barn.

It breaks my heart to rate this place with one star. The Barbecue Barn was a place I visited as a child and I absolutely loved it and enjoyed the atmosphere. Since they recently reopened I was so excited to go there and now I will never go back. Last night, I waited an hour and a half for my order at the drive through. I finally had to go inside to get my order. The staff inside were so awful to one another and some where even rude to the customers! The two younger guys in there were very nice, but there was nothing they could do about my order.

I have been overcharged on the same combo 3 different ways now, and the last two times the Large BBQ sandwich, had less meat than my coworkers small. The BBQ is OK, but the bread is soggy and stuck to the wrapper most times. Everyone in our office had great hopes for the re-opening of this restaurant, but it has let everyone down so far.

Best BBQ around, but you have to try the mac and cheese. Both are so good they make love in your mouth! The food is so worth the price you pay. If you want great food and friendly staff go to the Barbecue Barn!!

Food was good. Counter help was great. Food service was slow as has been each time I’ve gone. Don’t be in a hurry. Not much difference in bbq portions of the regular plate vs large plate if any. BBQ is good.
