I went by Barb’s Pasties and Pizza after someone recommended it to me. It did not disappoint! The beef, chicken, and vegetable pasties were delicious. Also, the carrot cake was scrumptious. The cake was moist and the icing was not too sweet (it was perfect). Everything was excellent! I will certainly be going back!

Outstanding! I’ve been meaning to come to Barb’s since I moved here in ’20. I’m glad I finally made it before I left Detroit. The beef pasty I had was excellent. It was better than all but one of the pasties I had in the UP; however, the pasty I’m referring to that I had in the UP wasn’t a traditional pasty, but more of a gourmet pasty.

I love pasties, and am so glad this place exists so I don’t need to drive to Cadillac or the UP to get my fill. The beef has rutabega, which is essential, though I do wish there was just a bit more spice to the meat. Looking forward to trying everything they make (assuming I don’t get sidetracked by pasties)!

Pasties just like I remember them from when I went to school in the UP. They have other food here which is also good but this is by far the best pasty I’ve had outside the Upper peninsula. If you are a Michigan Tech or NMU alum and get a sudden craving for the big deluxe hot pocket pies you used to have up north this is for you!!!

Barb’s delicious pasties and pizza put a smile on my wife and I’s face as we sat down to watch tv. I’m a huge fan of a curvy pepperoni and I love that the pizza sports them, though, even normal pepperonis would’ve been delicious on this pie. Admittedly, I haven’t had a pastie in several years and I remember the last not being my favorite kind of pastry, but Barb’s really does something that makes these pasties phenomenal. Besides the amazing food, the ladies there were a riot! It truly made the experience unique!

OMG! Best Pasties ever. My family and I have been going to this small family run establishment and have loved it ever since. They are good folks who make good pasties and a few other things like salads and pasta and pizza. But you really can’t go wrong with their pasties if you like them. Highly recommend

Never had a pasty from Barb’s , stopped while traveling , a friend talked highly of them . VERY tasty and well made , a little pricy but what isn’t these days . I did eat two meals from it , lunch ( which I didn’t eat much , about a third of the beef pasty ) and the rest for dinner , I was stuffed . Lady at the counter was friendly and did a good job taking care of customers . I’ll stop again if I get near Clawson again .
