This feels like a destination bar located in a friendly neighborhood setting. When I visited, the bar team was approachable, the food was tasty with good portions (we had the salmon spread and the loaded hummus), and the drinks were spot on. We had a chance to chat with Brian Riess — what a great addition to St Paul’s restaurant scene!

We went on 6/3/23 at 8pm for oysters. We were seated by the hostess who provided us with a laminated Happy Hour menu and the regular paper menu. Two items were highlighted in green on the regular menu – the oysters and nachos. The price for oysters was $1.49 per oyster on both the regular menu and Happy Hour menu. The hostess returned to take our order and we ordered 10 oysters. She mentioned the price was incorrect on the menu, and that the actual price was $3 per oyster. She said the price was a misprint and was meant for a promotion next week. I pointed out that the Happy Hour menu also featured the oysters for $1.49 and she replied it was no longer Happy Hour. I asked her to show me the Happy Hour hours on the menu and she stated they were not on the menu. I pointed out that the hours were not only missing from Happy Hour menu, the hours weren’t posted anywhere. So when we’re handed Happy Hour menus a reasonable person would believe it’s happy hour. She only smiled and said “I’m sorry.” We went ahead and ordered them anyway along with nachos, and when the food came it was delivered without napkins, silverware or plates. Terrible, terrible service and misleading pricing on the menu. The kicker? You don’t get an option for tipping – it’s automatically included at 20% on the bill. Never returning and do not recommend.

Love this place. The loaded hummus is to die for. Half-off oysters during Happy hour is awesome! Their cocktails are also really good. My favorites are the hush money (scotch) and sidecar (classic cognac drink).

All about that happy hour from 3-6PM! Definitely worth the visit if only for the happy hour even though the bougie cocktails will surely entertain you all night. A great place to come for a nice conversation, not too loud and certainly cozy. Only thing to watch for is that you’re charged a 20% fee already, so basically you’ve tipped already before you’ve even ordered. Consider it a utensil fee? For two drinks and an app you’re at almost $30 so I’d plan accordingly.

We had another great experience here! The food is PHENOMENAL! The flavors are surprising and tasty. We had coconut curry sea bass (get it!!), Oysters, mussels, tartar, beat & goat cheese spread, and wedge salad. You’ll want to try everything. Same goes for the drinks – we have a margarita, a negroni, a paloma, wine, and all were TOP NOTCH!

Loved the variety of food and the drinks are amazing!!! The atmosphere is very chill. There isn’t much space. I think the bathroom was super funny. Overall a great experience.

Love this place! As you walk in you are greeted with a nice color palette with an ambiance that feels cozy and intimate. My husband and I were there for their happy hour, which is probably the best happy hour offering I’ve seen in quite some time. We ordered a dozen oysters (highly recommend!), loaded hummus, nachos with chicken, a piece of pistachio cake, two glasses of bordeaux, a glass of stout, and a double shot of 1942 tequila. Everything was delicious and well priced. Service was good and Brian, the owner, was exceptional. Before we left, I made a reservation for myself and my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday next week… That’s how happy I was with my first experience there. Looking forward to going back and trying out the rest of their menu.

The best cocktails in the Twin Cities – I’ve tried 8 or so over several visits, and they range from good and interesting to excellent and interesting. The Blood & Sand is especially great. It’s a nice bonus that their cocktails start at $11.
