I was craving chicken and waffles and this was the only place I could find near me that had them on the menu. While good, it did not satisfy my craving. Technically, it’s chicken and it’s a waffle but the flavors and textures are so far removed from the traditional southern chicken and waffles that, beyond the components being the same, it’s just not the same dish. I would certainly recommend it because it’s good but not if you’re craving a traditional chicken and waffles dish. Other dishes I’ve had here in the past have all been good and the service is always great

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this restaurant. Outstanding service the moment we entered and the food, the food was outstanding and I mean every meal and every item we ordered. I also enjoyed a rasperry sour from the Free Folk Brewery in Fayetteville. This was my birthday so the manager picked up my beer! The restaurant was clean and modern and it was loud and it should be. That means the guests are enjoying the meals and each other, centered around great food. Will be regulars I’m certain!

Excellent little Filipino fusion restaurant! Service was great; atmosphere trendy for the area. The food is fabulous. We had the wonton nachos with the spicy salsa ranch, Chicken Karaage bao buns, and the bugerrito. Everything was well seasoned and soooo tasty. My only petty complaint was that my chicken bao buns needed more sauce, but I solved that by putting the spicy salsa ranch on them. Delish. The bugerrito’s coconut ginger rice was surprisingly good considering I’m not a rice fan. Perfect place for a date night. We can’t wait to go back and this will definitely be put into the date night rotation.

Our food was great! I’m not entirely sure what the restaurant is, but it seemed to be a Filipino-Hispanic fusion restaurant. I got the Filirito and it was incredible, I definitely recommend anything that has the coconut ginger rice. We sat in the patio and it was very quaint, the patio is situated right by a cliff.

Barkadas is a nice little restaurant with a very cool atmosphere, relaxed setting, and beautiful bar. We ordered take out using their online ordering site, and the process was pretty seamless. The service allows you to customize pretty much anything on your order to make it just how you like it.

Absolutely amazing flavors. Had the brunch chicken and waffles…it was the best I’ve ever had. I’m a really picky foodie, too. I assume they pounded a thigh, as it was the juiciest chicken ever! And the coating was amazing. Waffle was awesome, too. The only reason I gave a 5 on atmosphere is that they keep the restaurant at 65 degrees. Too cold!! Food flavors are amazing.

Barkadas is a great restaurant in Charleston, WV. They’re located on Cantley Drive, right beside the Domino’s Pizza. The restaurant is just a short drive away from areas like Southridge, South Hills, downtown Charleston, and Charleston’s West Side. They don’t have a huge footprint, but there is a decent-sized indoor dining room and some outdoor seating.

I didn’t think I would find a place like this in Charleston. The vibe and food is what you would find in a big city. It’s not authentic anything, nor does it claim to be. I had the bang bang shrimp, which far exceeded my expectations. I will 100% come back here next time I come through Charleston. We did sit at the bar and waited no minutes for service but for those silly people that stated they had to wait ten minutes they really shouldn’t leave their house because I’ve never read something so ridiculous.
