I visited for the first time on 4/24/23. I went through the drive thru. Staff were super friendly. I ordered a chocolate shake and a pup cup. The shake was excellent, ice cream was smooth and tasty, I ate it with a spoon. The pup cup was ice cream topped with whipped cream and a biscuit! My Scottish terrier loved the pup cup! We will be back.

Good food and good ice cream. We had dinner and it was good. The chili dog was very good. The beans taste like Bush’s and the potatoe salad tastes like Fareway which I like very much. Ice cream is soft serve and good. The dinning room is very nice e and they have an outdoor patio you can have your with you.

Barker’s is a small locally owned ice cream and dinner shop. They offer dinner baskets including made rights, hot dogs and tenderloins. They also offer a turkey sandwich and beef and gravy sandwiches as well. Lots of ice cream options including ice cream cakes and shakes. It’s a small restaurant, always clean and well managed. The staff is efficient and knowledgeable. They do offer free refills on kids drinks. They are located on the main 7th avenue in Marion. This is a great place for a summer evening stop. One of the only places in the area that offers peanut butter flavored shakes that I’m aware of. They are always thick and delicious.

Took my kids for an ice cream yesterday. I got a sandwich. Everything was delicious and the kids thought their ice cream was delicious. Returned tonight for supper sandwiches (Hot Rite and Hot Rite with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy). Also got a few chocolate chip cookie sandwiches for the rest of our family. Food was great and the cookie sandwiches got rave reviews; the chocolate chip cookies were delicious buttery and all agreed Barker’s has the best soft serve in Marion. Glad we gave this place a try and you should too! The staff were friendly and service was quick both times.
