Super delicious, homey-feeling neighborhood bar. The service was quick and the staff clearly knew what they were doing. The pierogis were amazing and the sandwiches were humongous. Happy to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Barney’s Bar & Grill is your classic neighborhood bar. Nestled in a residential area, it was clean and welcoming. My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner, around 3pm. Barney’s was busy, but there was plenty of staff on hand and there was no wait for a table. We were served drinks right away, but we waited about 10 minutes for someone to come over to take out food order. A little annoying, not a big deal. We have been hearing great things about the food here, so we were excited to try it. It was Good Friday, so we had to have fish. We ordered a Crab Rangoon appetizer and I ordered the Crispy Cod Dinner, while my wife ordered the Cod Bites. Or food came out quickly, it was just as we ordered, and it was delicious. The fish was perfectly crispy, not greasy at all, and it was very flavorful. Top notch! My wife loved her Cod Bites and the Crab Rangoon was excellent. The meals were large portions, so we had a little extra to take home. Prices were reasonable, coming in at just under $50 for two entrees, an appetizer and two drinks. The staff was very friendly and checked in on us often. Overall it was a great experience. I would recommend and look forward to going back to try some of the other great offerings on the menu.

We live right in Bay City and frequently eat out. This was our first time to Barney’s, and frankly we were blown away! Don’t let the older building judge the experience! The place was very clean, fresh, and with amazing service and food! The atmosphere was that old town pub where everyone knows each other. My wife had the brisket taco salad and I went with the Wednesday white bean chicken chili. Washed then down with a couple of IPAs. Less than $50! Find that at another place! Barney’s is the Bomb! We will be back soon!!

I was drawn into here by their FB post of the western burger and Blake’s triple jam cider on draft. Neither disappointed. The burger was “eat with a knife and fork” big. Beer served in a frosted mug that is always an added treat.

The food is excellent there. Service was great! Was pretty busy even for a weekday. Between 3 of us, we spent $90 with an appetizer, 3 entrees and 3 drinks. Would suggest going there and getting a bite to eat.

Both times I have been to Barneys it has been fantastic!! The food is great and so is the service. I last went for brunch on Saturday and the French toast sticks were sooo good. Also the bloody mary was top notch and it came with a side car! Lastly, the prices are wonderful too! If you haven’t tried Barneys yet you are missing out!
