Some friends and I went here while visiting the area for the weekend. Service and food was okay. We got the fried pickles and corn fritters for appetizers and I think I enjoyed these the most of what I got to eat. The pickles were spears (not the normal round pickle chips) which were breaded and fried. I liked them done this way as it was different and gave you more to eat than the nickle-sized ones. The corn fritters were very nice also. My girlfriend and I shared the BBQ and brisket. I liked the BBQ better than their brisket. It was not the best brisket I had ever eaten. The side items (coleslaw, mac and cheese, baked beans, etc.) were okay but nothing special in my opinion. Their BBQ sauces were okay as well. We were going to get one of their “Signature Cow Patties” for dessert but they were all out. I guess this is a populate item and they had had a rush for Sunday lunch. if I ever go back I would like to try one of these. While I had no major complaints it was just okay and nothing outstanding in my opinion.

Fresh coffee at 3pm on a Sat was nice. Waitress was GREAT. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich carry out and proceeded back the the highway. I expected to use all of my talents to eat such a sandwich while driving but as it turned out there wasn’t any problems. The pork was pre-sauced, chunky, and we’ll packed so much that I was able to add sauce and still eat it with one hand while driving and not lose a single crumb. I was impressed. The pork itself was more like a 4 outta 5 stars but like I said it was late afternoon on a slow Sat so I would never expect it to be fresh out of the smoker. But that’s ok. I was very happy. The building is very well laid out and decor was perfect for a BBQ. I’ll stop often since I drive from NC to OH once a month.

Eat local and support a long time business. Very friendly. The place is clean and well lit outside and in. They have a fair menu. I can’t say it was the best I’ve had, but it was good, if I lived in Nitro WV, I would come back.

Passing through stopped for the night, walking down here from the motel…. Saw it and decided to try it.. absolutely great!!!! Happy we did NO disappointment here! Very hard to find good BBQ! Great waitress (Nicole) very warm atmosphere here on Friday night, live band that is good! If you’re close stop and enjoy!!!! Well worth it!

Order the smoked duo, pork and brisket. The platter arrived at my table literally 5 minutes after ordering. Both the pork and brisket we’re flavorless and drowning in water. I think they boil their food here. Mac n cheese side arrived lukewarm. I haven’t been disappointed in a restaurant in a while, but this place managed to be disappointing.

Def nothing spectacular, but the music was good. Went in a Sat afternoon and they weren’t very busy, but the food took forever. The pulled pork was okay, the mac and cheese might have been good but it was very cold, and the fries were good. The buffalo chicken pizza was a bust… It was very doughy and the toppings fell off.. pretty disappointed

We stopped here on our way back to Ohio. I got the brisket and my fiancé got the pulled pork. Both were absolutely amazing. The sweet potato fries with honey butter, and house chips with house sauce were sensational! Our waitress, Theresa, was incredibly friendly and we had nice conversation. We highly recommend this restaurant!
