We arrived at 9:15 PM and hoped to grab a late supper. The kitchen was not closed, but after we sat down we heard “we have someone at a table”, followed by “are you kidding me?” The waitress brought us the menu, and a few minutes later came back and asked “Are you going to eat?” We said no, and only ordered a couple of drinks since it was very obvious they did not want us there. Not sure what their closing time is on a Saturday night, but very clearly they were still open at that time. It was my birthday, and we had hoped to have a late celebratory dinner even though we couldn’t make it earlier in the evening. Wrong choice of local establishments…

Great place to grab some grub. Try the stromer it’s delicious . Their steaks and pork chops are just as good. They don’t have a flyer which is fine by me. (Fried foods aren’t good for you) The price is spot on and the service is friendly and on point.

Hadn’t been for decades. Still great food. Filet cooked perfect. Salad needs work. Iceberg lettuce and croutons only. Waitress very personable but only 2 working for dinner

Yes, I give it five stars. I’ve been eating at the Barrel Bar, now under the third owner for over 40 years. Lunch, supper, char burger or drinks with friends. Find a seat and let the staff take it from there. The prices are in line with other restaurants/bar/grills Try the Bloody Mary with a Cheese Char burger chips and big slice of onion with a spear pickle. Wife and I shared one the other day.

It was good food and the service was quick. It was starting to get busy towards the end of our meal and it was getting loud. It is definitely old school vibe. The menu is kind of limited but what they have is good not fries though.

A nice hopping place to eat! I stopped by for dinner one night and then lunch the next day. The grill is a small, well oiled machine, cranking out consistently good food. I tried the char cheeseburger and the chicken breast sandwiches. The staff was laidback and friendly during the busiest times of the day. Quiet enough to chat with some locals. Peaceful, family atmosphere. Good value and good food. For burgers and chips or steaks and baked, you won’t get “burned” eating here.

First time in over 50 years that I have been eating here that my disappointment will deter me from returning. Moldy bread, burgers are smaller, BBQ sauce is so watered down that it separates when put on plate.

The food’s nice but the workers are more toxic than Chernobyl. Don’t work here if you value your life.
