Amazing food!! Great service!! Sharing a 4 course meal between my wife and I we spent $100!! The lobster arancini appetizer was a great starter. We followed up with an heirloom tomato and burrata salad with medium rare tuna, which was definitely seared to our liking!! Our main course was the shrimp and parpadelle pasta that had some amazing flavor, the scampi butter sauce was to die for and plump black tiger shrimp that definitely filled out the plate!! Ending our meal with the most decadent of crème brûlée that left us smiling and talking about all the way back home!! A definite must eat, west texas fine dining at its best!! Dining at Barrell & Derrick is one for the books! Will definitely be coming back. Mackenzie took absolute great care of us, the service was top notch. It’s a very cozy, chill, comforting atmosphere. The Ribeye was cooked to perfection. The salad was AMAZING. Absolutely no food went to waste.

Our organization had our first annual awards celebration at this venue and we were treated like royalty! The event planning team was phenomenal and very thorough. Victor, the manager, reached out regularly to make sure than any need I could have was taken care of. We had awesome servers; Trish is a superstar in my eyes! The ability of the staff and management to anticipate needs while providing stellar customer service AND awesome food makes this restaurant the best in Texas to us!

We have eaten here many times and always had good food and good service. However my husband and I ate here over the weekend and I was so disappointed. The server poured us our wine without letting us have a taste first plus spilled it on the table and never did wipe it up. My husband ordered the rib eye steak and the steak was barely 1/4” thick, it was smaller than most breakfast steaks. I ordered the steak salad and the meat was so chewy I couldn’t eat it. We felt very rushed to order, eat and pay our bill. It was as though we were cattle being herded through a feed line. Doubt we will be going back in the near future or if at all.

We chose to visit Barrel & Derrick for a send off dinner for a friend of ours. Mrs. Ty was absolutely amazing! She offered many recommendations on dishes, and was so kind and patient with our group. I wish I would’ve taken pictures because the plates and drinks were absolutely beautiful! I had the Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad for dinner, and tried the delicious Hibiscus Cosmo. Mr. Victor, the manager, even made a stop by our table to check on us and was very personable. I hope to plan another meal there soon!

So glad we chose this place for Mrs Texas’s send off dinner!! Vic was very responsive when trying to get everything set up for her special night! He arranged for us to dine nicely in the private room, and was very attentive, along with the wonderful server! Food, drinks and appetizers were excellent, highly recommend their Poke!
