Hello, Hello… You’re missing out. If you are like me, you may have been driving past this place for years. I will be putting Barrels on my ” Must eats list” when in Margate. I hope you feel the same. Very large portion, fresh salads, great appetizers. BYOB, no corking fee. The place is small and very clean. You must try this place, and please let me know what you think. Seating is limited, so call first. I have included some pictures of what we ordered.

We made a reservation and arrived at the appointed time. The hostess asked us if we had a reservation we said yes. They asked if we were the party of 15 and we said no. They then said that they would seat us as soon as there was an available table.

Quality is on point! It’s what I would expect in this neighborhood but hadn’t found. Chicken salad by the pint, amazing sando and even though they were booked for a private event they were happy to let my group of 6 order to go. I’d recommend trying anything on there menu that looks good to you. Call in advance to see what seating and hours are like, this is a very popular place with the locals and its often completely booked for dine in.

We ordered out from Barrels. Food was mediocre. My chicken tasted like cardboard. I also got the cheese steak egg roll. Horrible. All dough. Hardly any meat or cheese. Just a poor excuse for a restaurant. Will never return.

We wanted to try a new place to eat. Made reservations for dinner sat outside. The service was very slow. I wanted something light so I ordered chicken cutlet salad; finally got my chicken cutlet salad the chicken was cold. The waitress never checked in with us to ask if we needed anything which I found very disturbing. It took forever to get our check she came out to give us our check. I will not be returning here again.

This was our 2nd experience with Barrels…once for take-out and this time dining in. This stop in meal was very, very good. We had a delicious dinner at an appropriate price with super service. We will visit Barrels again…soon. We have a vacation home in Ventnor and Barrels of Margate is very convenient and well worth another visit.
