Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

Have not ordered from this location before. I have had Lou’s pizza a few times and was on the fence about ordering. I did have a good experience with Lou’s frozen pizzas from a fund raiser which was actually pretty awesome. Slightly disappointed with my order from here as I ordered lemon pepper boneless wings which did not have any taste of lemon or pepper at all which were very plain. I know you don’t order wings from a pizza place but figured I would give them a try. Also ordered a small pepperoni and cheese Pizza with extra pepperoni, cheese and the buttery crust. Seemed the pepperoni proportion was on the lighter side, cheese fair amount and also buttery crust was not so buttery. Could have been it was NYE and maybe people didn’t want to work that day.

TO GO or DELIVERY ONLY LOCATION – My New Fave From Lou’s: Ordered the THIN Classic Crust w/ Sausage, Pepperoni and Mushrooms + 8 piece Lemon Pepper Wings. Yesterday was the perfect day for delivery on a cold day with snow flurries! Very Friendly staff.

Pizza was ready exactly when we were told it would be for carry out. In our opinion their deep dish pizza is the best anywhere in the area. We added a Malnati’s salad which was also delicious. But, everyone has their own opinion of what they like and don’t like.

Pizza is amazing, the staff is always friendly but rating three stars because the online ordering website is terrible! It rarely lets me sign in to my account and when I try again it restricts me from using the site, completely bizarre that it’s literally deflecting business!

The best deep dish Pizza i have ever eaten. Keep it up. I always go and order there special deep dish pizza which is all time favorite it is overloaded with toppings and now second favorite is there stuffed spinach bread. Its worth trying. Ample Parking available. Value for money. Always have leftover for my next day.

We ordered delivery tonight and the girl who delivered our pizza and wings kept the ranch out of the hot delivery bag so it stayed cold. It made the wings so much better having ranch that wasn’t warm and runny! Pizza and wings were good as always too!

Lou Malnati is my all time favorite pizza place! The deep dish and the thin crust are both so good. I love the salads here too. I usually order carry out from this location to eat with the fam when I visit Chicago. The pizza is always ready on time and the staff here are friendly.

Amazing deep dish pizza and wings!!! We ordered two small deep dish pizzas (the lou and malnati classic) and an order of large wings with Buffalo sauce (we ate half the wings before my picture). Everything was hot and delicious! The staff were all so kind and just awesome checking out. I would definitely go back when I’m in town!
