This place is beautiful. I’ve been three times in the last two weeks. The 1st time was absolutely great. Food was yummy and service was great. 2nd time was alright but the bowl I ordered was almost completely different then the 1st time I ordered. The 3rd time I walked out & canceled my order because the young brunette waitress Mari was rude and dismissive.

Experience wasn’t great. The servers were so nice but the food was mediocre and extremely overpriced. They upgraded us to large fries without asking/ us ordering and it reflected on our bill (we didn’t go through the itemization until after we had paid). Due to the open kitchen concept, the restaurant was extremely warm and had little air flow… rough for the red bluff summers.

I feel like this establishment, once they get the ball rolling, will provide a wonderful experience in the near future that the people of Red Bluff will love. I met with the owner, and he’s a great guy looking to provide great service and saw that his plans will bless all those who come in. Bartels Red Bluff has large portion sizes, at least for me, and though the platter I ordered was bland, I don’t really know if they planned that or not, but what I ordered was perfect for me. The saddest $14 burger I’ve ever had. Everything was mediocre at best, but the bun was a small, child’s size, cheap white bread bun. Which matched the miniscule patty. I was excited to have Bartels come to RB, but underwhelmed would be a kind description. Service was iffy, considering we were the only people there at the time. Step it up, Bartell. Please.
